Danny White Targeting Tony Elliot, Sonny Dykes, & Lance Leipold. - Jimmy Hyams

We could do worse than the clemson OC. He's at the very top in knowledge of the modern college offense. You don't get anybody more hip and on top of that. Keep in mind with these comps to Pruitt that Pruitt is old school in everything. His defensive philosophy is old but it worked at Bama because of the talent level. Elliott is young and hip and on the cutting edge of what a great offense needs to look like in TODAY'S GAME. I wouldn't be mad about that hire.

I don’t even think Danny White knows yet. Reports like this are likely from a source trying to push an agenda. Nothing more

He is about to get thrown out of that house...He has done a horrible job there.
True...cuz he has NOTHING to work with...but your point is valid and should concern us as far as hiring him. He does check alot of boxes though and goes back to my point that if we want an SEC experienced head coach...with no baggage...who has won big at this level....we won't find one who doesn't bring cause for concern along with him....in some way.

VolNation yesterday: Danny White is a GRAND SLAM hire! He really knows what he’s doing!!!

VolNation 24 hours later: FIRE DANNY WHITE!!! This guy is an idiot!!!!

Another thing is White has to know what penalties we are most likely facing or else what does he tell these potential hires during the interview? "Well we just don't know yet what we're looking at. Could be death penalty basically or something really bad like that...or it could just be some scholarships and a couple years bowl ban...or maybe nothing much at all. So....whaddya think about coming to Knoxville?" He's gotta have a good idea what's coming I would think.

When doing anything you have to include those that are doing the work in the planning. New AD understands that. His idea of 7-8 player reps is good stuff. I hope we get a forty something HC and two excellent and young hip OC and DC. Fill in with some motivated and proven positions coaches. Some sort of spring event. Keep top players and fill holes in roster.

I did hear Jimmy say today something like “who knows though ...none of those coaches may be on his list. We’ll just have to wait and see”. So again journalists feel inadequate if they aren’t commenting on a current issue so they throw stuff together. This is what Jimmy’s statement appears to me. But what do I know😂

Yeah, and Jimmy said it’s 100% Pruitt was back next year. Doesn’t recognize misdirection when it’s hit him in the face. He has his “sources” and they intentionally lead him astray and he doesn’t even see it.

An unpopular coach will be the result of nobody better wanting the job. Too many unrealistic expectations here. Some of you are not accepting penalties limit the attractiveness of the job. All these top shelf coaches being mentioned probably don't want to deal with the situation. Many don't have to. If our expectations are more realistic we might be surprised. If you expect a top shelf P5 coach you'll likely be disappointed. If we have some revolt like mentioned above we're going to kill our reputation even more. It will hurt recruiting and the press will have a field day. Let's not screw this up.

Really was hoping to see Lane Freeze and Hugh Kiffin on the list. 😁

But since it’s Jimmy then I know this isn’t the real list.

Napier was a Clemson OC and is MUCH more proven.

Who was it Jimmy said had it last round? Wasn’t it like Pitts HC or something?

Jimmy said that he’ll likely have these 3 on his list, meaning that they could be #8, #9, and #10 on his list, doesn’t necessarily mean top 3. Nobody really knows at this point anyways.
