I had an EMPTY plastic cup from Gus's Chicken in my clear bag. Security pulled me from line and said it couldn't be brought in and told me to throw it away. I said ... "It's empty, what's the issue?". The answer was "We're not sure and people have yelled at us all day about it". Doing away with that, and any other stupid rule, would help speed things up.

For us on the opposite end of the stadium, we couldn’t even see how the game ended. Just some referee saying “touchdown” and everyone exited. $2000 worth of seats to have to hear the game results over the mother flippin’ PA system.

I lost some hearing yesterday because the stadium speakers were so loud. I couldn’t even hear the crowd when they played music on a 3rd down.

Those seat backs take up too much space, too. It’s getting really hard to resist booting the hefty person in front of me down 50 rows of stairs.

They didn't show the replay because is was an obvious touchdown when looking at the replay.

I got in the gate right before they came through. They held us up for a few minutes but then realized there was plenty of time to let a large portion of us in the gate so they let a large portion of us run quickly for the gates.

My only question - hasn't the band always eventually came in that way? Maybe the angle due to the route makes it more problematic and now it mirrors what happens right after the Vol Walk when the gates first open. Trust me I've tried to go in right after the Vol Walk that way and it has and always be a nightmare. Too many people in one location at a time.

But the tradeoff would be to not have the Vol Walk or not let the band play into the stadium and that is tradition.

I'm in the upper deck and coming out was very crowded - similar to other games where folks stay to the end of the game.

My only complaint is that it is chaos to get back to where the Knoxville but to the Civic Center is. I think that is because they don't let the fans use the entire road, so both the bus folks and all the folks wanting to just cross the streets are together and there is no room for the bus line.

The security process was slow, you could tell the staff was frustrated. Watched people trying to scan phones and having issues. More than a few folks said that getting rid of the paper tickets was stupid move and after yesterday, I tend to agree.

I'm sure some folks are used to the new technology but I always have trouble with scanning the ticket from my phone. Maybe they need to send me an example via email so I can figure it out.

The bus/shuttle area is a free for all. We finally gave up and just walked all the way back to Market Square.

They made up for the lost seat count in those areas by adding artificial rows with bingo parlor chairs to the back of the lower deck, where you can see maybe 60% of the field and no game clocks. They need to at least take those TVs, as seeing more of the field is better than knowing what the decibel reading is.

I’m not sure it’s that. You have people with a variety of phone, models, specs, and all kinds of other things that come into play. Another one that I’ve noticed is some people have cases on their phones that make it hard for the NFC readers to work. In others, the readers can’t scan fast enough and require a brief reset period before it scans the next one. That’s what I saw with my own eyes yesterday - scan the first ticket and wait until you can scan the second.

Newer systems are getting better at perfecting this process, but just like anything else, it’s not bulletproof. A power outage or system issue will break down the whole process. But what we saw yesterday was evidence of terribly poor and inefficient planning regarding logistics and the flow of people in a given space. Everything was a mess yesterday from the gates to the queue lines inside, from the bus shuttles and traffic control.

I thought it was a mistake when I found out the Truly tailgate was open to the general public, regardless of you have a game ticket.
What a mess!!

This is the first time I've ever had an issue getting into Neyland in many years, so I'm assuming it is the new route of POTS that causes the backlog.

This they try to hoard 100k through about 12 metal detectors which takes forever to get through. You are right they need to close the street and give more room for detectors.

I am more thankful every day that I gave up my tickets last year. I am not sure if I will ever step foot in the stadium again.

Is that an official statement from Tennessee Athletics or is that your assumption?

They did not show replays, the entire game. Why does every lower bowl section have a TV monitor if they won’t show replays? I can see the field in real time.

It was the same for the Florida game last year, only there were fewer chainlink fences so the crowd was more spaced out.

The University has destroyed getting into the stadium. The only stadium in the country I've been to with this problem and I've been to multiple college and pro stadiums. It is an embarrassment. We sit in section V on the West side. For decades we went through the gates on the West side mainly gate 17. Walked up 1 half flight of stairs and right to our seats. The last couple of seasons we are forced into the **** show at gate 21.

Whoever has come up with this and traffic control needs to be fired immediately and replaced.

I see Danny White is taking the blame but there has to be other people responsible for this. I do not trust what we are being told. Seeing is believing here on this topic. They always tell us they are going to fix things and it doesn't happen or takes forever. I'll believe it when I see it, but it truly is inexcusable.

Many garages are a total **** show too. Namely G17 and the one beside it. Lake avenue DOES NOT MOVE and people are literally trapped in these garages for up to hours without moving. Not only embarrassing and inexcusable, but it is a urgent public safety issue.

Someone had a medical emergency outside of gate 21 about 30 minutes before kickoff and personnel was scrambling to even get to the person. Not sure how they even got the person out. Just a total disaster.

DW didn't price out fans. The market did. Which tends to happen when you win. Reality is, he should probably raise rates again if they are consistently at capacity.
