I just googled everyone’s revenue and made it myself. You can use it
Any idea how it compares to past years? IE the years before White etc? During Butch’s best years would be interesting to see as well.

Thats great. Its not any of my money. He has driven real long time fans out and brought in people with the money who do not care as much. They are there for the experience. I know Alot of fellow f a ns whom no longer can afford to take their families to a game. I won't drop a grand to take my family, its ridiculous. Sure could go to the nobody games but those aren't fun.
"brought in people with money who do not care as much" is just the poor man's sour grapes.

You have no idea what sacrifices others might make to attend UT games nor do you know how much they care. They obviously care enough to drop money on games which you won't, so who is the "real fan?"

It's a weird way to out yourself as a poor but you do you.

Neither us nor Texas are getting a payoff from the revenue with championships. Not knocking Danny but this revenue is not translating into recruiting budgets and player retention. We have needs that have to be addressed by the portal. The portal is full of talent. We got some really good pick ups this year. But we also had some big misses that would have been a huge step up in talent. 2-3 players can flip a 8-5 season to a real playoff run.

We are undefeated since this revenue was reported and have since hired Jim Knowles, Derek Owings, and signed the second best recruiting class in the SEC.
The highest I have seen the class anywhere is 4th in the SEC behind Bama, UGA, and Texas. I’ve seen the class as low as 7th in the SEC.

You’re probably not taking an around the world cruise either. Should they outlaw that or just reduce the price to a point you and family could go?

Flawed logic, there is a medium here it doesn’t have to be all one way or the other

I swear I read somewhere that Florida State LOST $450 million dollars last year !
I believe that debt goes back further than this year. FSU athletic department brought in $212m and spent $208m in 2025. Still crazy that someone is that inadequate at their job

I love this part of his post as a self descrbed "real fan":

"I won't drop a grand to take my family, its ridiculous. Sure could go to the nobody games but those aren't fun."

Hopefully it translates. A family member of a current player told me Owings ran them ragged the day he arrived on campus - many were throwing up by the end of workouts. He told them the national reputation of Tennessee Football is "they're soft" and that's about to change.

They beat TN every blue moon but you’re acting like it’s a common occurrence. 🙄
The blue moon wasn’t the problem, it was the fashion it was done in. We looked completely lost and were completely destroyed inside of neyland. Yeah, I’d for sure trade some of that revenue for not looking like that again.
