Danny Sheridan predicts UK will beat UT in football this season.

All we can hope is the team uses this for motivation. They have blown great chances the previous two years to win the SEC East and now are being overlooked and predicted to lose to Kentucky. We have been the joke of the SEC and the center of so many punchlines for far too long. It is time for them to step up and show the country that Tennessee is back and put ourselves back on top where we belong. It is time for them to outwork every other team in the country and put successful results on the field. It is time for Tennessee to win, any way any how, just get it done. I want us to get back that reputation and swagger we had in the 80s, 90s, and early 00s. I want people to fear playing Tennessee and know that when the Big Orange suit up we are going to bring it to you for the full 60 minutes. I hope we come out and pop GT straight in the freaking mouth and wreck them on primetime national television.

Oh YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! 1,2 the VOLS are coming for you 3,4 gonna run up the score 5,6 getcha championship tix 7,8 Bama gonna be irate 9,10 sec we win ? Nope not a ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WIN CFP CHAMPIONS ! And ah GO VOLS!

Not gonna happen, Kensucky is not gonna beat us we have to much talent and finally a good coaching staff. I'm not predicting a NT but I think we will be better than everyone else thinks we will be.

CBJ will be in serious trouble if KY beats Tennessee. I still hate Dooley to this day for breaking the streak with KY

Strangely enough I was happy with last years game. Both teams dealt with a lot of players being out or hurt. The depth, or lack thereof really showed. UT's second and third stringers are still vastly superior to what we had behind guys like Jordon Jones. We gashed UT all day and our OLine dominated like it did pretty much all season. Dobbs looked like Lamar Jackson yet we beat Lamar. Sucks to be UK.

We return nearly everyone and have a good schedule. Hope we finally get a win over UT that counts. Beating Derek Dooley barely means anything.

You invite comments from the "experts "when you lose to teams you should beat. Start curb stomping them and those predictions will stop.

Was this a serious post?

2014 - Tenn 50 Ky 16
2015 - Tenn 52 Ky 21 (in Lexington)
2016 - Tenn 49 Ky 36

We have averaged over 50 points a freakin' game vs Kentucky the last 3 years. They do not have the talent on defense to slow us down. Not to mention - Since 1965, Tennessee is 47-5 vs Kentucky. This is the most lopsided annual series that is played in the SEC. They have won just once since 1985. I feel like I say this every year but... I will believe Kentucky beats a decent Tennessee team (in other words, a team not coached by Derek Dooley) when I see it.

I hope our side of the score board looks like a basketball score when it's over.

They've got LSU and Bama too?

We both have the SEC East, we both play Southern Miss out of conference, they have Louisville and we have GaTech.

How good is LSU gonna be? We know they're talented, but we also know they're not gonna have a qb and Oregeron as head coach shouldn't scare anybody. Bams is the one game that truly separates our schedules imho.

I do believe our schedule is more difficult, but not much more difficult....which is why I said "not much different".

Isn't that enough? Jeez.

I agree. It's just having Bama on the schedule automatically makes our SOS seem way harder than it actually is.

They at least kept it respectable till half time last year before collapsing. I'm sure that gives some KY fans a glimmer of hope, but Stoops has done just about all he can do there unless he starts cracking the top 20 in recruiting for a few years in a row.

Again, our schedules are virtually identical other than one game.....which is which I didn't say they're exactly the same, but rather "not much different". A one game difference in a 12 game schedule is "not much different" imo.

I don't want Butch to fail. I hope he is here for a long time and brings us many championships.

If something happens and he is released and Chip Kelly is a realistic candidate, he would be my first choice over anyone I can think of that would also be realistic candidates.

Let's just hope Butch makes this scenario irrelevant.

Agree entirely, Behr. Butch can make all this talk go away by winning the East and competing well in Atlanta. He can hold off the pitchforks with less than that.

And just about every Vols fan here is hoping he does that or even better. Because that means we're back to championship caliber football.

But if Butch can't prove his capability to coach at that level, I agree that Chip Kelly would be an excellent successor. Can't think of any other coach-in-waiting that comes close.

I'm sure Bama fans are in complete meltdown mode over this...

But then again, some UT fans were upset Dobbs was in a Penguins jersey early in the week.

Yeah, never bothered me when someone likes this or that pro team, in anything.
Besides, Pro Hockey players are allowed to be paid. So I'm not even concerned about Nick showing up :)
