It's already been legalized in multiple states, plenty of a large enough sample size to make logical statistical inference.

So far, no statistics show an "increase" in the amount of hard drug use or deaths due to marijuana legalization.

Portugal decriminalized every drug under the sun about a decade ago and they've actually seen a decrease in hard drug used, teen suicide, STD's, and violent crimes

I've been reading this and have tried to stay out of it, but the misinformation here is mind-blowing.

The data on marijuana and its effectiveness for a variety of disease states is overwhelming. More data on it than many other approved medications out now.

The fallacy of dangers and gateway drug have also been disproven in literature as well. And medically, you could state almost any controlled or non-controlled medication could be classified as a gateway if only one person went on to use something else.

Alcohol and tobacco are much worse for the human body than marijuana, and unlike the other two, also serves for medical conditions that are unresponsive to other medical options.

I respect what your experiences have told you regarding marijuana, but literature suggests your esperiences are outliers and not the norm.

The legality is irrelevant anyway, it would most likely still be a NCAA and/or team rule. So same result. Nobody's personal beliefs make any difference in this situation.
