Daniel Lincoln now a lock.....

Lincoln should have been kicking from a shorter distance if Kiffin wouldn't have gone ultra-conservative. 40 some odd seconds left and an offense that was clicking had to reign it in, because the head ball coach failed to recognize positive aggression and went placid. Lincoln makes for an easy scapegoat, but true fans realize where the blame lays.

I hated that damn block as much as anybody but it was still a 50 yard attempt. Even if it was not blocked there is no gaurentee that he makes it.

I can agree with some of this but Lincoln had 3 attempts at kicking the FG that would have won the game. The first he missed, the second bounce off Cody's kneecap the third went off Cody's big toe. True fans know Lincoln sux.

Daniel Lincoln: the best kickball player UT has ever had. Bama can thank HIM for their trip to the NC game.

to go down as one of the top 5 most loathed UT players of all time.

Let me ask you what you have done for the University of Tennessee? I hate threads like this only make future recruits not want to come here because of people complaining like you. These kids put it out on the field and do the best they can and until you walk in their shoes you should just keep your trap closed.

If you have nothing good to say then keep it to yourself. Recruits do read this board and why would they want to come here when every time they have a hard time or don't play to your standard they have to read they suck.

I'm not sure about that, but I am surprised they haven't commissioned someone to make casts of his arm pits. They'd probably sell like hot cakes in that state.

bama being bama, they worship his knockers more than his arm pits.

I don't hate the kid, he works his butt off and has kicked some ''big 'uns'' for us in the past. 2-3 more plays toward the endzone would've been nice. we've gotten our share of the breaks in games before, and we'll get them again. look back at nearly every NC winner, and you can point to 4 or 5 plays that could've gone either way. It does suck knowing I'll have to see that painting every time I go to the mall and on the walls of some of my buddies' houses. the first time I saw it, was in nashville and I got sick to my stomach.....haha

Exactly. I never for a second though he was going to make that kick

I don't understand what you are talking about. Do you mean the UT/Bama game? Lincoln was hurt then and still trying to do what he could do. If he wasn't capable but was sent out there, I'd say the coaches have some accountablility in that. I can't blame a man for giving it his best but coming up short. Or did Lincoln say or do something loathesome in the last few days? He was a good kicker for us as a freshman, but was playing hurt for the Vols this year. Why would you "loathe" a man for that?

Lincoln wasn't good this year but the team wasn't either as a whole. His tweeked leg vs Bama is what bugs me the most. But to rate him as one of the most loathed players in UT history is a bit strong.

Like I said, Greg Burke was worse

You don't know bad until you remember Burke

Have the Bammers already commissioned a painting of Mt. Cody's block of Lincoln's fg attempt? If not, I'm certain one is coming after the NC win tonight.
Yes they have. You can preorder it now from Daniel Moore. I think its called "Rocky Block"

And they have one coming for the SECCG and the NC Game

I dont know. Anthony Herrera probably is high on that list after some of his comments last year. Josh Briscoe is in the top 5. James Banks also comes to mind, along with Daniel Brooks.

Herrera has sorta recanted his statements and admits they were mainly directed at Fulmer so I'll kinda cut him some slack. He did give props to UT on MNF during his intro.

I pay for their education, thanks though.

Nah, I wouldn't wast my hate on lowely kickers. I save it for real football players like Kelly Washington and Brandon Warren.
:):lolabove: Brandon Warren is a typical from the get go. Players like him suck. He could not make it at fsu because of his attitude nor at UT. He and T Smith are probably ridding around in a beat up lowride caprice calling fo da hoes now.:eek:lol:

Come on, Lincoln's job is to make field goals he had more than one blocked. He is a sub-par kicker, always has been. I remember some extra points he has missed as well as field goals for the past couple of seasons, but go ahead blame in on the head coach. Odd's were in Bama's favor to get a flag thrown agaisnt us, or did you forget that part? And for you to say that "true fans realize where the blame lays" is bs. You want to challange my "fanhood" step right on up. Better yet, why don't we fire Lane and make you are head coach, I am sure that you could do so much better, sitting on your couch at home. :censored:
