Mo couch, corey miller, jordan williams, marlon walls

Couch and Williams yes
Walls and Miller no
They will keep Walls at de and probably move Miller back to de or have him in on 3rd and long, obvious passing at dt

I think Hood will stay in the rotation and continue to improve. I personally want Joseph Ayres to get more playing time if he is good enough...that kind of historical lineage is cool...

Serviceable at his best...atrocious at his worst.

Lex, that's a little harsh. Considering he is a true sophomore and at a different position, I'm pretty proud of the kid. He is giving his all, which is pretty good for a young guy, who may not be that talented, playing a different position. Personally I'm rooting for the guy. He got a second chance and is making good use of it. Like I said, I'm rooting for him.

I'd love for him to break out... I didn't say he wasn't giving any effort. So far he has proven himself pretty easy to block.

They do, everybody does. Basically an Offense in reverse. The DT's create holes for the LB's to run through to make tackles. Hopefully without holding.

Elite college teams have DTs that are playmakers themselves (just like ours used to be). You think they tell them, "now tie up that O lineman so our LB can make the tackle.". BS. They are supposed to blow up the play.

he is a DT playing in a platoon. not only that the position he plays is more responsible for occupying blockers to free others.

This! Finally someone who understands football.. It aint all what goes on paper anyway that helps a team win a ball game

Need at least two more, but you are correct.

Yeah, we are getting closer to not starting OT converts or FR. Which is always good. Hopefully OBrien can provide some depth and we can find a couple more to get mins out of.

Another Kifffin recruit. He did switch positions and in the beginning, it seemed to be a good move. Maybe, he is still adjusting to that position on the college level.

our interior defense is still thin. it was a move that needed to be made. hope he can make the adjustment though.

I wish LSU and Bama DTs played with this same philosophy.
lsu/bama play different schemes than we do. Some DT's play in schemes where they are penetrators and some are space eaters. Guess which ones make the big bucks in the league. Comparing linemen from the number 1 and 2 teams in the nation is a bit overkill dont ya think.

Hood (and couch) doing what he does allows allows the other DT and the linebackers do what they do. Ask Austin Johnson how good a job Hood is doing. It sucks playing in a position/scheme where your good plays show up on another guys stat line but it is guys like that that end up surprising folks like you when they show up on NFL rosters and the guys with numbers end up as bouncers at skanky strip clubs.
