that when Jones' Cincinnati team came to Neyland Hood and the Vol's D knew every time UC was going to run, and every time they were going to throw. He also stated that he was not impressed by the OL. He said, and this is not verbatim, something to the effect of "we told him when he got here and he got it fixed." That's pretty revealing.
Now, I think Jones has shown with the Shoop hire that he learned something about defense in the SEC, and that he's willing to leave his comfort zone of known coaches. That said, the same guy coaching UT's OL now was all those years ago for Cinci in Neyland. If nothing else, it's going to be a very, very interesting season.
