Anyone know what happened? Anthony Parker tweeted a few minutes ago that he was deceased. Hate to hear that. RIP Daniel.

I met him when he was just a commit. He seemed so nice and was extremely polite. I said "hey man, here's the next Al Wilson" and he grinned from ear to ear. Not sure what happened, but it's a shame

All,

Daniel was in the National guard with me here in Clinton. He was killed this morning in a single vehicle accident. on his way in to drill. He was less than 2 miles away from the armory.

I know some on here have an opinion of him as being a trouble maker from back in his playing days, but I can tell you from a personal experience the he is not that person anymore. He is a great guy with 3 beautiful children that have unbelievable personalities. He works as a patrol officer for DCS helping with children, and he owns a farm that he really enjoyed. He has completely turned his life/attitude around from when he was on the hill. He had such an infectious personality, and he would give you his last dollar if he knew you needed it. He really was an outstanding human being, friend, and most importantly, father. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

If anyone is interested, i will post his funeral arrangements here.

Condolences to his family and friends. Wins and losses seem insignificant when you hear something like this.

I had the pleasure of knowing Daniel as both a 17 year old kid and as the remarkable man, husband, and father he became. He truly defines what it means to be a VFL. I will miss my friend.

RIP, Mississippi.
