OK, I love the grit and heart Dane exhibits and I will be the first to admit this. Too bad he can't teach some of the football team a thing or two about toughness. Dane gives 100% with the talent and abilities that he has.

That being said, we can't keep trotting a player onto the court that scores 0 points game after game after game. He may make a nice pass here or there, grab a few rebounds, etc... but he is a liability on the court, IMO. Defenses don't respect him, and sag off when he has the ball. He is as much of a threat to score as Richard Simmons is at the Playboy mansion. This will cost us if we get to the NCAA and win a game or two. Dane is a true Vol at heart, but I think we need to strongly consider making a move. Am I in the minority? Please don't take this as a bash to Dane either, as it isn't intended to be.

I would like to voice my opinion on the subject, but will not due to fear of being exiled.

Both. His leadership and effort are great example for the younger players. His performance on the floor as of late is nothing short of awful.

IMO, CBP should start Tabb for these last couple of games and see how he does compared to bradshaw...which will also give childress some more minutes...

I think CBP is starting bradshaw since he is the only senior on the team.

He has great hustle and leadership but his shooting and decision making have been lacking for the last few games

I am all for Childress and Tabb seeing more minutes but Tabb seems to collect his fair share of fouls during his limited minutes

Both! He is a leader and glue of this team, but his shooting has been lacking of late.

His shooting has been lacking for 4 years now... His decision making is what he's starting to lack. I really wish his shoulder didn't get messed up.. I really missed what he did for this team last year. I think his shoulder has affected his confidence in his play.

I cringe when Childress launches from 3...

I cringe when Bradshaw tries to make a layup. I've noticed on a few fast break with numbers, he has slowed up. I think he's afraid that he will get the ball passed to him. It's time for Tabb or Childress to get the start. I think they will slowly eat up more and more of Dane's minutes if he doesn't produce. He already got cut about 10 minutes during the Bama game and that's an OT game.

Everyone talks about how Dane makes the passes and gets the rebounds, but don't you think that Tabb could get those same rebounds if he was in the game? Also, at the beginning of the season, when Dane was dishing out those great assists, I wouldn't want anyone else on the court. Now, he HASN'T been making very good passes and is basically a liability. Now is the time to bench Dane and see what others can do. If it's worse, put him back in. It's worth a shot.....

Without Dana the Vols won't last very long in either the SEC or NCAA tourney. He is the ultimate leader on this team. He plays excellent defense, in fact he is the best defensive player on the team. For his size he does more on the boards than any other player. Talk about being inconsistent you better hope that Crews/Chism play consistent BB from here on out because from a total season stand point these guys have been very inconsistent and neither one scares any body with their offensive output.
