Granted, I am only 20 years old.

But, I have been an avid UT basketball fan for 10 of those years.

And I can't think of a better role player than Dane Bradshaw.

Although he never takes over a game, Dane NEVER disappears during a game. He always contributes to the win.

Every team needs a guy like Dane. Good for him.

Bert Bert called him a one armed warrior tonight and that was so true. I also thought it was a classy move by CBP to meet him at center court and shake his hand. :good!:

Dane is a gamer. Just fun to watch out there, and he seems to make a big/crucial play or two every game.

i hope his mri comes out alright. something tells me he'll play out his sr. year regardless. i loved his post game interview. he said,"its great to have an awesome coaching staff to celebrate with and the closeness of the team is unbelievable, it's a great place to play basketball." selling the program to any recruits who might be watching, that factors into being a role guy too. he will be missed next year. you dont get many players like that. who knows, he might end up on the coaching staff.

I love Dane because he's not a flashy guy...he just goes out there and gets the job done

You could certainly make a good case for Dane. He always seems to be in the middle of everything when Tennessee has a big win - like both of the Florida games last year. Pearl has made a huge difference with him - what a change from his Freshman year! The kid plays with heart, no doubt!!!!

I thought Dane was alright his freshman year, but really got a lot worse his sophomore year. Scooter McFaggden was good his first year and got worse in his second. I think that says a little something about Buzz Peterson.

It's hard not to put Dane up there in Tennessee lore, just for what he's one this year and last. True grit - he's a great player to cheer for.

And I love the part about Dane talking up the program. My Dad asked me tonight after the game, "Do you think Tyler Smith is sitting somewhere saying, 'Hmmm. Maybe I made the wrong decision'"?

Dane did a great job against OSU with his bum shoulder and all. Duke Crews also played very well. I'm lookin forward to watching this kid play during my next few years at UT.

I live close to Memphis and had a chance to see him play high school ball, he is a winner. Coming out of high school alot of the so called experts around this area said he wouldnt survive in the SEC I think they all are eating alot of crow. I think he is what a college player should be.

I was at the game last night. The crowd was really soft at the start of the game but by the final 10 minutes, they had the GEC rocking! At the end, CBP walked up to the sideline and pumped both fists in the air. The crowd went WILD! Then, he called Bradshaw over and the chest-bumped each other! Man, that was a GREAT game to be a part of!

Dane is always doing something, he does the little things throughout the game, he's a great ball handler, he plays hard, dives on the floor for loose balls, etc etc.

I think some people's perception is that Dane doesn't do much until the game is on the line, because some nights he doesn't put up alot of points. But he does things that don't always show up in the box score - he helps the offense, even if he doesn't score. In the Okie St. game, for example, the offense just didn't seem to run as well when he had to be taken out in the first half because of foul trouble. But hey, even if the only points he scores are game winners, I'm glad that he does that!

Yep. He's the best player as a frosh on a bad team in the middle of Iowa. There is no way he doesn't regret his breakup with UT. But he stood for what he thought was right - it just didn't work out.
