Wouldn’t surprise me. I don’t like this. Probably wants him for his reputation as a disciplinarian, since I’m sure some of the head honchos see the program as out of control. No need to nuke the fan base with a decision like this.

Listen Greg, no one wants you here even if you weren't part of the silent collusion that was the entire Penn State program. You suck as a HEAD coach and we've had enough of that. I swear on my life I would rather rehire Butch Jones with Dooley as my OC than waste 5 more years. 99.9 percent of us feel the same way and .08 of us have never heard of you

How did that work out in Tampa again?

Don’t answer. Those of us who live in the Tampa area know all about Schiano.

He failed in the only high pressure, high profile head coaching job he held. In the process, he produced an atmosphere of poor morale with preferential treatment given to former Rutgers players over all others.

The term “Butch 2.0” gets thrown around too much. But Schiano comes closest to it because, like Coach Jones, his weaknesses in leadership and coaching became quite clear once he took over a high pressure position.

Tennessee should stay as far away from him as possible.

Possibly, I don’t know what to think anymore. It’s been a rough year, hard not to feel defeated and without hope.

Yep, if you were a coach at Penn St, you either knew and did nothing or you are stupid. Either way, you are not a very good head coach.

He is literally the worse possible option. Not a current head coach, has a losing record as a HC, and has never been the HC of a power 5 school (it was called the Big Least for a reason).

I'd rather rehire Butch Jones or hire Brady Hoke as full time HC than hire Schiano. I wouldn't even want Schiano as DC honestly. I want him no where near this program.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if this was, indeed, true. He is the easiest hire we could have made, which is usually the route UT takes. He is a bad fit, and does not relate to recruits. If he does get hired, embrace for turmoil.
