Dan Patrick says that Coach O might be headed to Jags

Will USC give him $600k? How does $600k play in LA compared to Knoxville? Anybody else that's lived out there can answer that one pretty quickly.

Why would he leave a school where he is the DC in waiting once Monte has won his first NC in 2011 and retires. I mean, he's got a job, a good job, where he has said multiple times that he is dedicated to and is going to make something big happen here.
Orgeron is going nowhere but on recruiting visits for the greatest school in the nation!

V,B!

Looks like to me the stars are aligning for Meyer to "decommit" from Florida and go to Jacksonville to coach Tebow.... just a thought.

I'd be surprised if he's given up hope on being a head coach again.

If UT gets back on track and wins the SEC, he might get another stab at leading a BCS program.

One can only hope..... If only to discredit Meyer as a human being.... Who lets their daughter be so happy about "getting their Daddy back" only to turn around and wee-wee on her not 24 hours later..... What a jerk....

that would be very funny if Meyer went to Jags to coach Teblow... hahaha. He would never hear the end of it, or maybe ESPN would praise him for such an intelligent and thoughtful act of greatness. knowing ESPN, it would be the latter.

Didnt think Dan Patrick show didnt come on till this afternoon. Dont think coach Ed O would go to USC or Jags NCAA is going to come down on USC. soon When the ship starts going down rats jump off i.e. Carroll lol

this is what I thought too...he comes on during 12pm central lunch time in Nashville.

Seems like Meyer's lying antics are contagious around that state. Piece of trash trolls following the habits of a piece of trash lyer in a piece of trash state.

I lived in a 1500 sq foot, 3 bdroom, 1 bath house with a pool that cost $450,000. In Long beach.

will he produce a birth certificate :)
I bet Phil would gladly show you his, unlike the current guy. I'd say he's had a pretty believable forgery done by now. Even if it was found that he wasn't American it wouldn't be brought to the public's attention now, to late for that.

As to when you hear his show there, I can't account for that. Here, its on at 9 a.m. I catch a bit of the beginning of his show pretty much every day, so I'm pretty confident about who I heard and when.

I was only half listening to it when he mentioned Del Rio and then also said Orgeron in a group of I believe it was three names of coaches rumored to be part of a group coming to the Jags. Said there is some sort of struggle going on there at Jax because of some sentiment that they'll be leaving that area because of loss of fan support. None of the names jumped out at me until he mentioned Orgeron, and of course I knew people here would want to know he had included his name.

And no, it wasn't a list of possibles for one position. It was this guy for this, that guy for that, and Orgeron on defense.

He may well be wrong. But I'm not making it up that he said it.

O is in a great place for him right now.

Very good money.

Learning from one of the best ever.

In line to replace Monte when he does retire, and taking over his pay + building his own defense of the future instead of going somewhere hes not sure what he has.

The only place I would see him leaving for would be USC. And with all the sanction rumors going around I just dont see him taking that risk.

Well since I just heard JDR say he's not leaving jax on the radio here in jax I'm gonna say this topic is done. Of course I also heard a groan from the population of jacksonville after it was said. JDR leaving jax would have been the best thing for the Jags lol.

God, everyday there is a thread that one or all of our coaches are leaving, WTF?? How bout we wait till there is a link or news conference that one of our coaches has actually interviewed for another gig! Guess I shouldnt post the rumor that the VOLS staff is taking 2010 off to train for dancing with the stars. :baloon:

Just read on ESPN that Del Rio said this morning the LA Times report is "manufactured." This could all be a result of the fact that he's meeting with Jags mgmt today to discuss his contract and there are some who think he's going to be fired.

Btw, it's rediculous to flame the op for posting something he heard on a radio station. It may not be true, but it's not like he just made it up and didn't state where he got the information. It's like any bad news posted, some people want it to be untrue so bad that they attack the poster of the information. This is actually usually a logical fallacy in a debate known as an ad hominem argument. Not to mention the fact that the guy is being put down for trying to share info and be helpful.

So does that mean they come after Kiffin now?

If O goes to the Jags that sets the bar for when Berry will be picked in the draft.

On mike and mike this morning, Golic read a press release form LA mentioning Kiffin's name. I think he said that he had been contacted by USC to gage interest, but there was a lot of other names mentioned too. He was talking about the Del Rio thing, but Kiffin was mentioned at least as a potential interst. The way he read it, with so many other names mentioned too, it didn't seem like it was a big deal.

Orgeron is certainly a popular guy these days. He's been linked with every coach and open position available anywhere. I heard he's running for president in three years.

He did a great job in Blindside, so I'm a bit surprised there aren't more rumors about prospective film gigs.
