Dan Patrick just said, in summary, Tennessee fans just need to admit they just didn’t want Greg Schiano because he wasn’t a big enough name and to stop using child molestation as an excuse. Also says we are delusional to think UT is still a big time program.

he is entitled to his opinion, but he is quite wrong. and while the UT job isnt what it used to be, i dont think many would argue that its not a top 20 - 25 job

I think the TN fanbase is no more delusional than any other large state university football fan base. A little more reality would be nice though. The perception nationally is that UT fans form a lynch mob whenever things don't go their way.

Also just told a caller we were being cry babies because we didn’t get Jon Gruden. Lost all respect for him today.

No, Dan. We are smart enough to predict and stop the sh!tstorm that would have descended on Rocky Top had this fiasco come to fruition.

What is it about Dan Patrick that I should value his opinion? Serious question.

I USED to enjoy his radio show though I wasn’t an avid listener by any means. He can go to hell now. But as to why his opinion should have ever mattered, meh I have no valid reasons.

I would like to personally invite Dan Patrick to go pound sand.....

I'll admit I didn't want him because his career has been very average.

It was a convenient circumstance that we could rally around the alleged connection to Sandusky, but at least we're not stuck with another bad hire.

Dan Patrick, as a parent I am completely against Schiano for not being a man and beating the snot out of Sandusky when he witnessed child rape or reporting it. That being said, Dan, if I ever encounter you I will shut your mouth for you since you are taking up for a low life like Schiano.

He's not wrong. A big time program doesn't have these clowns running it internally. Bama, auburn, Georgia, etc all would be in full blown meltdown if they had endured the crap we've had shoveled to us. Tennessee has the money, facilities, and resources to be competitive with anyone in the country; the problem is they have no leadership other than Haslam who's a complete damn moron.

Why would we want anyone that has possible allegations? Why would we even consider him? How many other great coaches are out there that don't have those allegations and have a record better than 68-67?

I would challenge Dan Patrick to explain why a 68-67 coach is better than the one we just fired.

Terrible choice to even be the front runner...what a joke. Finebaum said it best. John Currie has made several really bad choices. He is leading from behind, not in front.

It’s all he said she said

If he was a homerun hire he’d be doing a press conference right now for sure
