Tennessee: Our sources tell us AD Mike Hamilton is researching Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen. We have also heard an unbelievable name for the Tennessee job. Not sure how we can get this one further confirmed, but a source close to this particular head coach tells us, “Trust me. If Tennessee offers, it will happen.” This would be a huge splash hire for the Vols and equally surprising as Kiffin leaving for SC.

The way I read that, their is another name that's a big name? not Mullen.

Wonder who they're referring to...maybe Peyton can pick up the phone and ask his old friend Dungy for a personal favor of sorts. I mean, isn't he one of these 'molder of young men' types? Anyway, a girl can dream, no?

We could have a nice relationship with Florida. :)

Seriously, I think we could do a lot worse than Mullen, he should be considered if he is interested.

They're usually pretty legit...they said they heard a "surprising" or "interesting" new name that Texas Tech was looking at, which sounded sketchy as well until Kirby Smart started being mentioned as a candidate right after that.

I was thinking Dungy too but that sounds too good to be true. He has the star power to lock down our recruits for sure.

Hm. Now this is interesting.

We need a coach in tomorrow! UT needs to throw some cash around and make another splash with a big time coach to help keep our recruits or we are SCREWED for next year.

If Dan Mullen would leave MSU for UT right now, he'd be on the same level of dirt-bag as Lane Kiffin.

That would be true of any coach we get at this point! Except Leach, Fulmer or some bum!

If Mullen is really interested, I would rather take him as any of the other names being mentioned.

FWIW I will not believe it is not Muschamp until the AD at texas says he is staying. To much smoke from many different sources not to be true. I think he was told to sleep on it and talk to his family.
