Your crazy looking at these #'s if you think Mullen is a great coach that would instantly make Tennessee a feared team in the East.

The chances are mullen isn't going anywhere for the figures you are talking about. All of Mullen's compensation is not publically available, also the buyout is unknown nor the contract with the boosters. Just with the info publically available, he is getting paid more than Butch and the Mac, and the extension was signed after his losing season and he got a raise. If he wins 8-9 games again....probably another raise.

He doesn't have to win year in and year out....Go have UT call Sexton and he will explain how all this works to them. They better bring the check book, Mullen has a sweet setup. Top 10-15 in pay with almost no pressure....and he gets raises after losing years and has only one winning year in the SEC.

I have not seen his extension...only a summary of the extension...he is set to make at least $4.5m plus incentives, but just like his original contract...I assume he will be at or near $5 million just in salary by the end of the contract.

He can end up at Florida, but they better have the checkbook ready -why in the world would he leave MS for $500,000, they're onto their 4th coach since he took the job at MS?

VOLE fans should be more realistic about who they are - 3rd in the East most years, 4-5 in down years, and the once a decade run for a SEC Title.
