Mullen and Kelly are home run hires. Frost and Campbell are up and comers again. Not home runs. More a like a safe double....

Never said I had a long list or a bunch of glaring issues that made him to be a bad coach. Sorry I haven't taken notes his whole career just for you. I think he is a fine coach and UT would be upgrading considerably with him. I just don't think he should be at the top of list.

You don’t have a list or bunch of issues but you said he is a questionable decision maker as coach.

Sure seems like it would take more than one or two examples in order to label him as a questionable in game decision maker.

JBC is going to be a NFL HC
Leach is on a downward slide
Petrino has more baggage than an airport
Venables isn’t leaving Clemson, his kid is there nxt year and word out of Clemson is he has no desire to be a HC
Fuente, much like Fisher, has it made at VT and has his team ranked in yr 2. Money doesent always mean better
Frost is a top candidate but I doubt we out bid Florida for what I assume is their top choice.
Campbell is interesting but no
Patterson is nearly 60 he isn’t starting over.

Yep. If I was a UF or UT fan, I'd be very optimistic & excited. Very good pedigrees, acumen, experience, fit, etc. High upside at a big time program, fairly low risk. Also pretty good potential to stay put successful.

Dak Prescott was a Heisman Trophy candidate in his JR season at MSU after being lightly recruited out of HS. Mullen transformed him from a project into an NFL QB.

We can't win with elite 11 QB's at Tennessee.

:rock:Dan Mullen may very well be named the coach at Florida. He was successful with Urban Meyer as Offensive Coordinator and has done well at Mississippi State. He is offensive minded. UT should hire him as he is exactly what we need and is reachable money wise with virtually no buy out and a $4 million salary.a

If we get Gruden or Kelly then UF can have Mullen, Frost, Fuente whoever else they want. If we miss on Gruden or Kelly then we’re screwed.

Kelly, you can keep him, has won what exactly anywhere he's been? Gruden, how many decades since he was on the recruiting trail and evaluating high school kids and taking guff from parents?

Starting to wonder if Kelly was successful because of Frost ?

Edit : wrong coach he was OC for Helfrich

Umm he has a pretty damn good track record. Are we only considering coaches that have won the national title?
