Never said he was going there. I said it would be like our administration to allow a team LIKE Arkansas to outdo us with a coach. Reading is fundamental.

See south Alabama game from last year. State is/was way to talented to lose that game. I don't keep up with Mullen much but I did watch the miss state uga game and it seemed like they were determined to run Fitzgerald on option or designed runs whether it worked or not (sound familiar). I can even remember the commentators saying they thought Fitzgerald would get injured with the abuse he was taking and Mullen not changing the plan to protect his QB. I've also got some miss state friends who like like Mullen over all,but sometimes leaves them scratching their heads.

Lol. That’s such a long list of examples you offered.

Last year was Miss State’s first year after Dak and their entire offense practically left. MSU was 3 buzzer beating plays away from being 8-4 in a rebuilding year.

And now Mullen is rolling. Again.

Mullen haters? A bit strong there. Not wanting a person to coach your team doesn't make one a hater.

You are all in too late then...that's not how this works , that's not how any of this works.
Just because I'm lazy show me any Power 5 schools that have hired a 3 season 12-0/11-1 coach from another Power 5 school. You gonna hire Saban or Urban? They don't even meet that criteria and Bob Stoops would be the only one I could think of that might loosely meet your criteria and he's an Urban situation. It just doesn't happen that way. You do your research, pay your money and take your chances as an AD when you hire a guy and so far the last two rolls of the dice have come up snake eyes. A guy may capture lightening in a bottle at a P5 school (James Franklin I'm pointing to you) and get that big job offer after a single 9-3 10-2 season at a lesser school. You take a guy that has worse facilities, low assist. coach budgets, bad school area (Rutgers), few in state 3*or 4* recruits et al and has managed to win 9 games and give him the tools to win 11 or 12 games. UT can provide those tools if they desire.

Well if that’s your theory we might as well keep butch, if a top coach in the history of college football can only win 11 or 12 at UA. UT ain’t close to Alabama in CF status so 9 would be the ceiling for wins here. Butch has done that so....

MSt historical win % right around 50.

Under Mullen it's right at 60%.

Criticizing Mullen for not winning the SECW is like saying James Franklin is no good because he never won the SECE.

I would say go get Matt Campbell (Iowa State) .... HANDS DOWN.........he will be the next SUPERSTAR coach...........just check his resume.........and did I mention that he beat 2 TOP FIVE teams while at Iowa State..........wait, I SAID IOWA STATE!!! Do you know how bad IOWA STATE is..... they have a WHOLE roster of 1 and 2 star players.... and maybe, just maybe he has up to ten - 3 star players.....

Mullen and Frost may be the top two targets at both UF and UT. And I think they should be. Pretty good chances UF and UT both get one of those two. Jmho.

Dan Mullen does more with less. He had to heavily recruit juco this year cause recruiting to Starkvegas is very daunting. He took those juco players and meshed them with what talent he had and you see the results. That's COACHING! As good as it gets; IMO. Anybody that wouldn't want Mullen doesn't know diddly.

I'll Take that argument. Saban is an azz and is successful because he has an eye for coaching talent; hires them and keeps them focused by not letting them even do interviews. I would NEVER want Little Napoleon as my coach. Oh; and HE CHEATS REALLY WELL.

So you really think it’s just as easy to win 11-12 games in Starkville as it is in Tuscaloosa or Knoxville?
