I thought he was a solid commit. Hope we don't lose him but I don't know, with the Arnette saga on-going this might be the nudge that will cause Dalton to Texas A&M.

Not going to happen. Check the recruiting forum. There are a few threads already addressing this.

Not sure why a recruit seeing that their LOI is a binding contract (which they already know) is going to scare them away.

This will be a huge miss if he goes else were. Probably need to worry about other guys decommitting if Santos backs out.

santos has been actively trying to sway other recruits to UT, how can that be read as being a maybe?

Any time anything like this happens people think kids will decommit or others will try to transfer. For some people, its the natural progression in their minds. Undoubtedly, another few kids are going to want to transfer, as most have suspected would happen. Ill almost guarantee there will be threads trying to link those transfers to Arnett.

Just another recruiting service trying to sell more subscriptions by peaking your interest with half-truth stories.

Govolsxtra is reporting that Santos has narrowed his focus to two teams so I don't believe he is solid Vols at this time.

We go thru this every year....it is the nature of the game that we play every January

Or another extremist who wants to stir the pot to give recruits even more ammunition to sway their comittment. Yeah I know message boards have little to no impact on a recruits decision, i'm only 50 years old but have enough common sense to know that parents of these recruits will actively be reading where their kids will be attending school and have the most influence with their kids decision, not to mention the pressure placed on the recruits from friends and other schools with all the online fodder.

People who blow this off are the same ones who continue stir the pot and say it is their right to express their feelings with the displeasure in the team. Here is a clue " no one was happy with how the season went but crying like a bunch of 3rd graders is not going to make it better". The coaching situation will take care of itself, the constant whining and attacks on the staff is not productive to the future of the program returning to greatness.

Bottom line we need all the talent we can get our hands on for the rebuilding of this program whether DD is the coach or not. Lets try to be a little more positive and think before we start blasting the coaches till at least signing day. I can't answer for everyone but for me getting our program back to glory is important to me, so if you can only be negative stfu. I live here in Knoxville, I know the local impact the football team has on our economy and it doesn't matter to me if DD is the coach or if its Pee Wee Herman as long as we can get talent in here the coaching takes care of itself.

He said Texas A&M was the only school with a chance to change his mind. We'll see. I remember with Autry, people were saying "Book it, he signs with us" or "It's a done deal for us". Annnnnnd now look.

And now with Wilcox and Sirmon leaving, lets say a NICE, RESPECTFUL good-bye to Santos and the rest of the defensive recruits and wish them the best at their new schools.

Do not post any more of these threads without at least a quote from the player himself. This is getting ridiculous!
