Tampa for multiple reasons. I don't want to go to Dallas because UT's fan turnout for the Kansas State game in 2001 and the Texas A&M in 2005 was extremely low. Additionally, Dallas is cold during January and the game is at 10 or 11am Central Time. Texas A&M had over 80 percent of the fans in 2005 and it was embarrassing, although we absolutely destroyed them.

To me the most important thing is that we win our bowl game because that will lead to additional positive recognition for our program, propel us to a positive start in 2010, and give us an outside shot of being ranked at the end of the season. Also, I would like to play a team that won their last game of the season (Wisconsin after beating Hawaii, or Northwestern), rather than a team that is really pissed off after getting demolished in their last game (Oklahoma State).

So basically your saying you want to play an inferior team.....Not me.....I want to play a team that is as good or better....UT needs the challange...that is what gets respect!!!....you sir, sound scared!!!

Yeah I only want Dallas if we can play Nebraska or OU. OSU is not exciting to me. I will of course be happy we are in the Cotton but probably rather just go to Tampa if it is OSU. You do not get much props for beating OSU. About as much as we would get if we beat a Wisconsin.

if we have to play wisconsin in the outback, id rather the cotton. just because i think wisconsin is a waste of time. but if not wisconsin in outback, id rather outback. who wants to play the big 12. its no challenge. except for maybe okla the big 12 has no defense. maybe texas but not really.

Going to be in FL and already bought tickets

If it weren't for those 2 key facts, i may have voted for the Cotton

Just out of curiosity, Does anybody know where I can purchase a jacket like Monte Kiffin was sporting for the game last night? Ed Orgeron was wearing the same one in the helicopter a while back and I absolutely love that jacket. I cannot find it anywhere. I am beginning to think that the staff is having them made just for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Vol Nation!

I disagree completely. In fact, I'd like to get back to the point where a lot more of the teams we play are inferior.

Miami is the only city in Florida I have any use for.

Miami? Really??
Humble opinion is Miami is the worst city in Florida. Its either the snooty douche crowd hanging out sipping on 40 dollar cosmos or the fake waiting to get on a reality tv show douches who circle the beach wanting attention or my favorite group, the gang bangers who might kill you if you go down the wrong street.Sounds delightful Hat.

Tampa has alot of faults but i would rather take my chances there.

I've read all the threads concerning "which bowl" to go to.
I have a question Which one pays the university and\or the SEC the most? I can see CLK wanting to go to Tampa and hamilton telling him no the cotton pays x amount more if indeed that is the case.

Both pay $3 million.

Here's hoping we go to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl- it will be the only game on TV that Sat., Jan 2- great exposure for the program in a fantastic facility against a better opponent.

Go Vols...all the way to Dallas
