The Nightly Show has gotten a lot better. They've changed up the format quite a bit. They do some sketches. Since all they really cover is the social side of politics, it's gang up on Republicans time for the most part, so I get why a lot on VN wouldn't ever like it, no matter the format.
The good news is Rs are actually coming along on social issues, and I credit Daily Show and Colbert for a lot of the societal shifts that spurned these changes among Rs. They still haven't totally learned, and that's why they have plenty of material for a Nightly Show.

Colbert hosted a local public show in Monroe, Michigan. His guest was a local Michigan rapper named Marshall Mathers. You might have heard of him.
