Starting this up just for general daily chit chat about whatever games are on rather going to a specific team's thread.

These announcers on WGN for the White Sox are in general not terrible but their "catch phrases" are moronic sounding, especially the "he gone" one.

also i never realized before how bad Jake Peavy's follow through looks, reminds me of mitch williams almost

yeah just looked up his stats, figured that free of a swinger wouldn't walk all that much especially in this case to come back from an 0-2 count

maybe it was my age or not having the coverage you have today where you hear ad nauseum about every little thing someone does but frank always seemed like a pretty solid guy on top of being a hell of a player

i've taken kind of that approach before and had decent success, just have one pitching slot that you don't really care about keeping the guy and rotate daily with a good matchup struggling offense

Looking like that's gonna be my Marco Estrada draft pick this year. Feeling like that one may have been a reach and might not go as I had planned. He will be on a short leash then I'll start my vs Astros rotation. That and I might have to emply 005's L/R platoon.

Does your league have a moves limit? Adding and dropping pitchers based on matchups over the course of a whole season is busch league.

i need to try to remember that L/R thing in cases like today where i have to sit 2-3 players, look for the best matchups

Mine doesn't have a limit. 12 team roto, 23 man rosters, but each pickup is a dollar into the pot. I def don't consider that busch league. Rewards people that manage their innings, pick smart matchups and are invested in the season jmo.
