After watching the Clemson game against South Carolina, I was impressed with Swinney.

But I wonder what the difference is between him and Kiffin. Why is it ok for him to go from position coach to head coach and be qualified because of his recruiting efforts but Kiffin is unqualified and people are already calling it a failure.

Dabo Swinney is schmoozing for the HC job at Clemson. He got them to a bowl game after Tommy Bowden threw the team under the bus earlier this year.

They were very overrated in preseason and it went to the plalyers heads. Sound familiar?

Because DS was already in the program and has proven that he is a solid recruiter. MH had to go to the west coast to get this loser. See the difference?...

So your saying that Coach K is a loser before he coached one game at The Univ. of Tenn? I'm guessing your not a fan of Coach K.

We were never expected to win the East. Our expectations were to get to a good bowl game. How is that being overrated?

Dabo Swinney
1996-2001: WR/TE (Alabama)
2003-2008: WR (Clemson)

Lane Kiffin
1997-1998: QB (Fresno State)
1999-2000: OL (Colorado State)
2001: TE (USC)
2002-2006: WR (USC)
2005-2006: OC (USC)
2007-2008: HC (Oakland)

I dont think Swinney is any more qualified than Kiffin.
