Dabo aside, I really don’t see the “morality “ in this. WE created this system when WE decided to let the players get paid. All that is occurring at this time is an unfettered free market economy. Caveat emptor.

I agree. What Ole Miss allegedly did is scummy and against NCAA rules.

However, the NCAA tampering rule limits recruiting experienced labor. That is illegal under Antitrust law. It is also illegal under the Interstate Commerce law since this involves commerce across state lines. If the NCAA tries to punish Oke Miss for this, hello federal court, where the NCAA loses all the time.

Clemson and Dabo are also conflating their university with their NIL collective.
Clemson. Apparently neither actually had a signed contract with him nor did they yet pay the kid anything. He was perfectly in his rights to go back in the portal before he played for Clemson.

There is a precede t gir this. Dies the name Joey Aguilar ring any bells?
