Da Reds thread

Hilarious. Reds pitchers have hit 17 batters this year. Reds hitters have been hit 33 times now.

I highly doubt it is complete coincidence that the past three series the opposing team have felt that Reds pitchers are throwing at them, and there is no way anybody can dispute the Indians series. Kind of like it also not being coincidence that Cutch always getting hit by the reds. Also those hbp stats are thrown off a bit by Choo up there crowding the plate.

Yeah let's not act like Choo is doing everything in his power to avoid being hit by a pitch.

Chapman lost his mind against the tribe. No argument there.

Not saying it's deserved and not trying to start an argument but that's the reputation the Reds have right now.
But I think it's a little over blown.

Dusty doesn't help that reputation any by suggesting they duke it out and handle it like men after the game. if he would get off his azz and confront the umps each time there would be change. Choo is a big guy and not as nimble getting out of the way. He has a closed stance which puts him in play more. HOWEVER, he is in the batter's box and not on the inside line. Period. He has been hit as many times as Reds pitchers have hit all other players combined. Enough already. As far I am concerned Chappy and crew need to do what they need to do. If you've got an unearned rep, might as well earn it.

went and watched louisville play the mudhens the other night and there is nobody in triple A at the moment that looks like a mlb player. hamilton had an inside the park homerun but that was almost all the hitting that happened. honestly out in the field and after seeing him play he looks years away from being called up. had a couple of horrible errors in the field.

I wish there was a way to keep choo and let Hamilton not be rushed. But I just don't know if we could afford it. Would be nice to have that Broxton and ludwick money instead of wasting it.

i agree. they may still have to go get another one year player next year in center. the biggest waste of money is what we are paying toothpick.lol

i don't think the reds will win any in this series. we will be looking to try and stay in the wild card race the rest of the year.

I'm not counting the Reds out at all. There's a ton of talent on that team and there's still a lot of ball games left.

true beef, but i feel the same way with baker as i did with dooley. have no faith in him at all.

Agree with both of you. Last season the team was so good they overcame Dusty's managing. Not the case so far and I am having my doubts they will this season. There is still plenty of time, but I don't see the focus and passion of last season.

There's too much talent on the Reds to not be in the playoffs. If they don't win the central, they will surely be in as a wildcard, despite Baker's shortcomings. The Reds to me are a lock.

The Reds are a very talented team. The Cards and Reds are very good teams and the Pirates would be strong competitors in any other division in baseball. That's why I laughed at the "experts" calling the Central weak before the season started. IMO the Central is way over looked year in year out. There is no way in hell I'm counting the Reds out of anything.
