Da Reds thread

On twitter. Was right after news was breaking, so it could have changed, but that's what I'm seeing.

Oh ok. I don't do the twitter. We only have 39 on the 40 man so Robinson or Phipps could be called up without causing any trouble.

can only assume Nerd's avatar is running scared from the Nationals.

Bigger takeaway than launching the ball all night could be how good Bailey looked. Werth nearly got hold of one to make it 6-3 but he pretty well cruised. Good sign.

I had to look at tonight's score twice just to make sure I was seeing it correctly.

I was blacked out on the tv yet again, and had to keep refreshing the espn gamecast to make sure I was seeing it right. :) Hope the great pitching keeps up. This early in the season you never can tell, but I am pleasantly surprised.

Does anyone know if the Natinals pressed charges after that beating we gave them?

I wish somebody that knew Dusty could talk with him and explain that you don't always have to bunt with no outs with a guy on first and needing a run. Especially when you are going to be depending on your #8 hitter and a PH to knock the guy in. There's this other baseball move called a hit and run. Works well. Been around for over 130 years.

So far Dusty is 1-2 in games when he needed a run, had a guy on first and nobody out. Each time he used the bunt sacrifice.

Agreed. He also leaves pitchers in too long from time to time. Can't complain too much though. Going to be a good year.

Agreed. There's not a lot to whine over about the team. Even Bruce is learning to go the other way when they throw junk on the outside. It's just that the team has to overcome managerial decisions too often to suit me.

The Leake thing is a big question mark and I am holding out hope that WJ has a plan for addressing it. Cingrani is probably a year away. Awesome lefty talent, but a year away. Kind of like Hamilton in CF. Louisville and Pensacola are loaded - so the future is bright for a long time to come.
