Thom Brennaman is awful.

That's laughable. Thom's one of the few guys in baseball who isn't a happy talk homer. He, along with his father and Jeff Brantley, tell it exactly as it is. Chris Welsh isn't bad. If they would toss George Grande and his Pollyanna attitude, it would easily be the best broadcast team in baseball.
