Da Reds thread

Feeling better about this season now than I was after the first two games, but I'm not excited just yet. Those first two games we just looked shell-shocked and unable to function. Since then, it's seemed like the team is at least capable of playing at their normal ability levels. Of course, I don't think that level is super-impressive yet, but at least they'll win some games here and there.

We can't score runs. At least not yet. But I really haven't seen anything that leads me to believe that we can.

Dusty Baker is a joke. He should be fired for sending up Bruce against a nasty lefty when he has NOTORIOUSLY struggled against lefties. One of the worst managerial moves I have ever seen.

Also, from what I have seen out of Chapman so far, when the kid gets his control down he has a Randy Johnsonesque ceiling.

What the hell does Johnny Cueto have to do to get a strike called? There should be two outs in this inning and a 1-1 count

Instead, Jorge Cantu drives 2 in to give the Marlins a lead.

i am getting really tired of the freaking blackout rules!!!!! why in the hell is chattanooga always blacked out when at least one of the 2 channels that had it scheduled could have aired the game since fsn would rather air basketball. i am convinced i will never make any sense out of the mlb and their blackout policy. i have made sense that it really makes me angry. glad to see we won and the braves get spanked.

Lookup SportSouth? The Cubs game was blacked out here on MLB Extra Innings. Was not on FSN.

i tried everything to see this game and the past 3. today's game was supposed to be on mlb network. instead i was diverted to the blue jays and white sox. the guide has shown for a week that the reds game was going to be the broadcast. also every time i try to catch the reds on extra innings it is the only game blacked out on all of those channels. sportsouth which is fsn tennessee here in chattanooga (there is fsn tennessee, sportsouth, and css; sportsouth is all braves as is css) has yet to air their broadcasts on a regular basis until college softball and baseball, and the nba have wrapped up their crap. it is just really frustrating because i am in the fsn region for reds broadcasts (thank god for that), but when they don't air a game, none of the other multiple channels who are airing it to the rest of the nation can air it. why the hell not? fox sports should get first dibs since they are the primary network and if they don't air it than some other channel should get the opportunity.

sorry for confusion in the above, but fsn tennessee is my provider for reds coverage. there is no excuse for any of their games to be blacked out in my area if it is televised on multiple channels. i pay for those channels and if it is aired on one of them i should be able to view, regardless. mlb and their money grabbing ways.

Wow, Bronson came up to hit with Hanigan on first and no outs in the 7th inning. He struck out. Dusty then puts Rhodes in to begin the bottom half of the inning. This leaves one to wonder why one would ever use pinch hitters.

nice to win this one. with the lead we had early, these are the type of games we need to be able to put away. it would not surprise me if dickerson started in center tomorrow night with stubbs not getting it down offensively.

Well, Bronson is a good bunter and it was a sac situation, still I was pretty surprised by the move. Still, questionable management notwithstanding, another good win tonight and a lot of runs scored. If we can get that kind of production out of Phillips this year we should be okay
