Unfortunately, that needed to happen awhile back. Glad it has now.

* Of course, we all knew we'd lose the series to STL..lol
* Matt is starting to return to form FINNALY!
* We don't need Chase to be dominate; we just need him to give us 5 innings every start! He has to be good and not get hammered like Petty has in the bigs
* It's a crime that TJ isn't getting ANY All-Star love in voting
* We need to make to additions now or at the deadline. We HAVE to get a everyday OF that can hit lefties! Secondly, we need some late bullpen help.
* Elly needs to run more when on base!
* If we do make a big run at somebody at the deadline (which I doubt we do), who do we give up?? Martinez? Singer? Petty?
Martinez and Petty are expendable as far as I am concerned, providing they get the OF bat and good pen help.

The Cincinnati Reds (44-40) and are 14-7 since June 5.

They have won 6 of their last 7 series
Arizona (sweep), Cleveland (sweep), at Detroit (2 of 3), Minnesota (2 of 3), at St. Louis (lost 2 of 3), NY Yankees (2 of 3), San Diego (2 of 3).

Since being a season low four games under .500 at 20-24, the Reds are eight games over .500 (24-16)

Just brought up a few games ago by the Royals. He is who I wanted instead of Burns. It would have enabled them to move Spencer to another position that needed an upgrade and solidified 1B with a great hitter for a long time.

I used to take the family to a Reds series every year. We would stay in Covington and ride the shuttle bus to the ball park and back. When they discontinued the shuttle the year covid hit we didn't go and we got out of the habit and haven't been since then. Is the shuttle from Covington to the Reds games back up and running? Do they still stop at most of the hotels? We are trying to get a trip together but I hate trying to drive and park.

Sadly unless we get a right handed power bat and some bullpen help i don't think we're a playoff team. To inconsistent on offense.

From Cincinnati Reds
Cincinnati Reds Director of Amateur Scouting Joe Katuska tonight announced the selection of INF Steele Hall (6-0, 180, R/R) out of Hewitt-Trussville High School (AL) with the team's first pick (9th overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft.

Hall, 17, was named Alabama's Mr. Baseball after slashing .484/.554/.871 (60-for-124) with 8 homers, 14 doubles, and 35 RBI as a junior at Hewitt-Trussville High School in 2025. He is the first Alabama prep middle infielder to be selected in the 1st round since 1971 (Condredge Holloway, 4th overall).

Hall transferred to Hewitt-Trussville after spending his first 3 years of high school at Daphne High School (AL). As a sophomore in 2024, he batted .331 with 31 stolen bases.

Hall is rated as the 12th-best player in the draft by MLB.com and the 15th-best prospect by Baseball America. He was also ranked as the top player in the state of Alabama and the 17th-best player in the nation by Perfect Game. Hall had previously committed to the University of Tennessee prior to being drafted.

The Reds will complete the first day of the draft by selecting 51st (second round) and 83rd (third round).
