Terrible job in the 8th by Diaz. Price going with him instead of staying with Cingrani who handled the 7th well and needs the work.

yep dumb a-- price brings in dumbo to make sure the game is out of reach. there is no question he is the worst manager in baseball. hell I would take toothpick back right now.

Leake with a gem. 4 HRs for 5 runs of offense with even Leake providing one of them.

Mes not responding well to treatment. Glad Leake likes Tucker. Bailey on 60 day DL - really, really close to TJ surgery. They are trying to avoid it. Another $100 M down the drain.

If the opponents will just pitch our guys away, next to no HRs and they win. Bust them on the hands or go inside at their back knee and then follow outside. Everybody but Votto will chase it.

Just as I suspected - Gomer's done. TJ surgery being scheduled. So that puts him out there around 2017 before he has a shot of being worth a crap. I don't know what else Bob C needs to see to know that he is screwed with Walter and Price.

Since last season, Mike Leake has started to become what I expected - the poor man's Greg Maddux. They better get him signed. Beautifully pitched game tonight.

And Price does it again. Gregg- 7th inning, down 3-2. Now Pirates 6-2 after he only gets 2 outs. That 10+ERA ought to be a clue, but apparently he needs more evidence.

Don't know which is worse - Jock or Price. Gregg is just being Gregg.

Gregg DFA'd. Who didn't know that was going to eventually happen weeks ago?

FWIW: Bullpen ERA 5.56 - Worst in MLB. Next worse are the Rockies at 5.20. This pitching staff is in shambles. From one of the best staffs to one of the worst in one season. Common denominators: Price and Jock.

In the bizzaro world of Bryan Price it somehow makes since to bat the Whiffmeister #6 with his .171 BA and Negron #7 with a .114 BA ahead of Pena with his team leading .356 BA/.429 OBP at #8. Did I say the team leading hitter, not power guy, hitter - is batting 8th in the order. Not saying Pena should hit #3, he's too slow. But at least bat him 5th or 6th to get more AB's with guys on base.

Down to .195 RISP through the first 6 weeks of the season. Worst in MLB by far. Power numbers are strong, which is keeping them near the .500 mark. Just points out the lack of clutch hitting. HR or bust.

Iglesias just blew away the bravos tonight. now maybe they will understand some of our frustrations. price sent him down at the beginning of the year and kept marquis a starter. what is worse he kept Gregg and badenhop over him. this is why he is the worst manager baseball.

Exactly. It's like we've said before - Simon proved just last season how it should work with Iglesias. Right in front of the same manager/staff/FO. Yet - there Raisel went down to Louisville. If after a few starts he isn't quite ready, use him in the pen or in long relief until he is. Same with Lorenzen. It's not hard. Just like Badenhop - DFA him and eat the stupid mistake like they did with Gregg. Nobody wants the guy after what he has done. But stop doing that crap. If nobody wants a guy, you shouldn't either. Throwing money after used up arms is insane. Spend the money on real prospects with upside to improve. You don't build an organization on has beens. If you are lucky you can salvage one has been out of a dozen or so - and usually only for a season or two of productivity. Meanwhile you have shot team payroll in the a$$.

Good win last night - no thanks to Doofus. Has Bruce hitting between Byrd and Pena. Bruce manages to leave them all on both times the bases are loaded with runners for the last out. A simple decision of sitting him, like tonight's line-up, or pushing him back to 7th or 8th in the order gets better hitters in position more often to drive in runs. Thank goodness Byrd got it done.

The Reds did not even make the 30. They forgot them. lol. Thanks, Bryan and Walter. Both of you are responsible for squandering what once was a good team. The sad thing is the infield is one of the better ones in MLB. The pitching staff will have been totally dismantled by the trade deadline.
