Da Reds thread

On April 29th, 2012 the Reds beat the Astros 6-5 to push their record to 11-11.

They proceeded to then win 86 of the remaining 142 games on the schedule to finish 97-65 and win their division by 9 games.

:good!:

true, but we don't have the astros to beat up on anymore.lol

Seems like garcia usually throttles us so may not do so well tomorrow. I just hope arroyo got that annual meltdown over with his last start.

Beside injuries, there are deeper issues with this team. I am smelling 2011 again. Hope I am wrong.

i agree, without ludwick in the lineup you just have votto, phillips and choo that can hit the ball. team just stinks like a 500 team. sad because the pitching is excellent.

Ludwick had a good season , but idk if I would count on him too much (contract year). The Reds will be fine.

Rumor Headley and Stanton are on the trade block. Yankees reportedly interested in Headley. Phillies for Stanton.

What the **** kind of package they gonna give for Stanton

Article goes on to say Phillies may not be likely due to the lack of up and coming players in the minors.

"The Phillies have made multiple inquires regarding Stanton's (hamstring) availability over the past several months, CSNPhilly.com reports.

The Phillies and other teams have been told Stanton, who is currently on the disabled list with a hamstring strain, is not available. However, many believe that Stanton could become available at some point this season as he will be arbitration eligible this winter. There will be many clubs interested in the young slugger which might be a problem for the Phillies' chances as they lack the blue chip prospects it would likely take to land Stanton."
