Da Reds thread

I love that bat boy kid. Awesome story with how he asked Frazier to hit a home run and how good Frazier felt when he did. Just a great group of guys to have as Reds.

I have only been watching baseball for a few years. The issue with Dusty is that he doesn't follow sabermetrics, and he makes the batting order funny?

I've been more than hard on Dusty for years but the players seem to love him and he had us right where we needed to be last year but the team didn't come through.

I'm glad he doesn't follow sabermetrics.

I'll also point out that Cozart lead off the overwhelming majority of our games last year so your question is even more absurd.

I'm messing around. The reds won 97 games and were a momentum swing away from the NLCS. They're just a really good team, whether dusty is sorta crazy or not.

Scott Rolen fields a routine grounder and we sweep The World Champs.

Most folks miss that point. So glad that temptation (Rolen) has been removed from Dusty's options. However, I would swap Dusty for any number of good managers. The players are do talented they cover for some of his dumb decisions during each season.

reds will never win the national league with dusty as manager. cannot believe jocketty did not go and get a real coach. way to just crap the game away.

How hot are the Reds? So hot that LaRosa’s has handed out more than $100,000 worth of free pizzas this month to Reds fans after the team threw a record number of strikeouts.

Under a promotion, the Cincinnati pizza chain has promised a free small pizza for each ticket holder in any game in which the Reds strike out 11 opposing players.

That happened just 14 times all last year, when LaRosa’s held the promotion for the first time.

But just three weeks into this season, it’s happened five times – before 131,196 fans at games on Opening Day (17 strikeouts against the Angels); Thursday (12 vs. Marlins); Friday (12 vs. Marlins); Sunday (14 vs. Marlins) and Monday (16 vs. Cubs).

so why on earth didn't Chapman... pitch?

he has pitched 5 of the last 7 games and krusty thought he was over used. parra and hoover need to be optioned to the minors they both are pretty much worthless. krusty has already cost us 7 games with just stupid coaching.
