Da Reds thread

Not sure Elly is a SS. He was pegged at 3B initially. McLain was the SS. Not sure what happened with all that other than McLain's injury. I might give that a relook in ST.

Good update on what to look for going forward this offseason.

The problem is we’ve built a roster of guys playing out of position. Now we got Hayes, who is a Gold Glover and under long term contract, blocking our #1 prospect in Sal Stewart. Never really got the Hayes trade for us. Should’ve just called up Sal early on and let him play his natural position.

Looks like Steer goes to LF and Sal to 1B with the early prediction. So OF is set with Marte and TJ. Lux is a swing IF/OF. Steer and Sal can also play 3B. So Elly or even Sal to 3B isn't happening unless they move Hayes. It Elly stays at SS they need to work on his D because he gets embarrassing at times.

Going to be interesting to see how they upgrade the bats, because that is the main issue. Pitching appears to be in solid shape.

Pagan coming back as closer on $20 M deal for two seasons with him receiving an opt out clause after next season. Probably as good as we could hope for with the payroll limited as it is. Leaves room for a bigger signing of a bat if they can find one.

It was always just a dream but Kyle Schwarber just resigned with Philly. For a guy that grew up nearby and seemed like he wanted to come home just for us to not put together a competitive offer sucks. Keep saying they need to sell the team.
