All the announcers were trying to defend Dooley. Made me almost as sick as losing did. I'm tired of hearing excuses. By now, we should be able to pull off at least one upset in a year. Even if we win out, who have we beat? No one of true quality. I'm tired of the constant disappointment.

just saw a replay of the injury. Looks like it was his knee and not a broken leg. Not great news, but still better than a broken leg.

This is apparently from the USC boards:

Broken femur, torn ACL, MCL, LCL and PCL, chcipped patella, sartorius tendon rupture and pes anserinus tears.

I only know what half of that stuff is.

He wont play football again regardless, at least with a knee injury he wont have a rod and screws in his leg.

I would say whoever posted that is in the athletic dept or works at the hospital.

dont know if I ever mentioned it, but my wife has a titanium rod and 8 screws in her right leg due to a water skiing accident in 2000. Compound fracture after hitting a log. It was bad.

Broken femur was among the injuries. Also, with a broken leg, he would usually be able to recover and play football.

Veeeery rarely is a broken leg a career ending injury. I can only think of one specific instance.

he wont. I have had 11 knee surgeries and although I am only 40, I have terrible arthritis already. I had a similar injury to what he had and really have never recovered from it. That was 25 years ago.
