There will always be rebuilding no matter who Coach's..look at the trouble Alabama's secondary has covering guys, youth can kill you till they develop.

You mean that team that won 3 championships since 2009 and is currently ranked 7th in the nation? I'm okay with a "down" year, but if you recruit right there is no rebuilding.

Uh, what?

Arian Foster rushed for OVER 1,000 yards as a TRUE FRESHMAN. Averaged over 5 ypc and did not start until about the 1/2 point of the season. Not sure what "contributing" means to you, but I hope we have a lot more non-contributing Freshmen in the future.

And furthermore, because some group of people erroneously create a "stigma" does not make it true. Arian Foster did not have a ball security problem relatively speaking. He fumbled 5 times on 650 carries (a school record!). It just so happened that all five fumbles occurred in high profile games and had game changing results. One of the 5 was on the QB who happened to be handing off backwards to protect an injured finger. Another was on a goal line play where a quick exchange was miffed.

Moral of the story is, just because you personally have a negative viewpoint about a player has no affect on the quality of that player. Misinformation like you just put forth needs to get corrected before the unaware get infected.

You're the one with misinformation. He did NOT rush for over 1000 yards his freshman year because he REDSHIRTED.

His redshirt freshman year he didn't even rush for 1000 yards... Not even 900.

What a dummy you look like calling someone out for erroneous information with information that is incorrect itself.

Check the facts before you act hard.

You're throwing Rocky Reid in there? Dude is a 3 star prospect, 58th best RB in the country. He might end up being a Tauren Poole type, but he's not stepping in here day 1 and running with the big boys. Likely a Tom Smith type.

I really don't think you know what you are talking about.

So you think this kid is in the same league as Jalen Hurd, Derrell Scott and Alvin Kamara?

Because I don't. He's good, I get it, I follow recruiting closer than most, but no way he isn't going to redshirt first year on campus.

I hope Lane has the opportunity to shine this season. Regardless of all the negative talk about him, he's still a vol and I want to see him succeed before he finishes out his time here. I just hope it's enough for him, or that he shines when the combine comes around.

FTR Reid is going to be a bone crushing bruiser in this league. He's the 3 and goal back we've been missing.

I remember being really excited about Foster after his Freshman year. I didn't remember that he RS either. It wasn't until his Junior that he broke 1000 yds. I thought he would have an amazing senior year.

That Penn St fumble was killer. I feel like he had insanely painful fumbles. If we get a decent line together I think Hurd will have better stats than Foster.

I imagine Reid Redshirts. Hurd then Kamara and Scott. I like it.

And yet in the last NFL draft 24 of the top 50 prospects were 3 stars or worse. Star gazing is fine but ultimately it means nothing.

There are more than double the amount of 3* players than 4* and 5* players, combined, in each and every year.

The fact that there were 26 4*/5* players and 24 3* players taken in the top 50 only further proves that 4*/5* players are more likely to be better players.

Care to try again?
