I think at the end of the day, that's the thing we should be excited about. The passing game will come along with Hunter, Patterson, and the other freshmen coming in. But the two biggest worries were the D and the running game. Both looked very improved.

Bohannon's pass rush is what won it for the Orange. Turned it up a notch at the end and Tiny couldn't handle him

Not to mention that the team competed well overall. Rajion has to fix his ball security issues or I think he would be too much of a liability to be the #1 guy. The defense does look considerably more multiple and aggressive. I expect that to continue to build even further going into the fall.

Raijon also needs to learn to run between the tackles and quit bouncing it outside so much.

I agree with OP. I think we saw a perfect combination of improved pressure from the new defense as well as an improved run game from the o line. All in all I am very pleased and excited for this season.

I'm excited to see what the D will be like once they get out of the base package run today. There were indeed multiple. I saw nickel, 3-4, 4-3, 4-3 under, and possibly some others out there. Don't think the D will be Bama and LSU type good from last year, but they certainly should be serviceable.

For those that went to the game, how was the tackling? Were defenders running through the ball carrier? That's what I want to see improvement in.
