A reliable poster just posted that D.Morley just appeared in his court; the Florida legal matters have been satisfied thus the pending legal questions in a Tennessee court will be dismissed. Along the same lines, when the 5:30 open practice occured yesterday morning, there were reports that Morely wasn't present, leading some to think that he was in trouble with the coaching staff. Talking to a parent this morning, he said that he didn't know why Morely wasn't there, but he's doing what the coaching staff wants and is in NO trouble with the present staff, contrary to previous rumors

Good news, his experience will be needed this fall at the beginning of the year especially cause we all know JJ and Myles will have freshman growing pains!

Legal troubles aside, he ain't that good to begin with, or he hasn't shown it anyway, play Myles and Jackson early and often and get ready for the future SEC battles I say.

D-Mo is plenty good, just ask MASOQUOI (SP) after that hit in the GA game. I think he has had tons of nega-press, some deserved, some not. EB seems to think highly of him, so are you disagreeing with our favorite Vol of all-time ?

Morley is going to be better under better leadership. I will give everyone a pass under the old guard. How many years have we been chanting for Slade to leave?

Morley has good God-given abilities...but he often times is very bad on being in position and also with technique.

Morley is a freak. If he can stay straight off the field, and focus his energy to Monte's system, he's an early round pick.

i wouldn't rule Morley being a CB out of the picture. He's very physical and he's got good ball skills.

He would be a BIG corner, but I wouldn't rule anything out at this point -- especially if it meant getting younger guys on the field (aka the most available talent on the field).

I wouldn't count it out either...I just think at the end of the day he either stays at Safety or is off the team...

Do you mean off for off-the-field reasons (academic/discipline)?

I can't see any way he'd be off this team considering his extraordinary athletic ability. DMo is a beast.

Morley doesnt have the hips or fluidity to be a CB, he would get abused

I would still think they will give him a look. What he lacks in those areas he makes up for in pure physicality and aggression (maybe the wrong term), but still I think he should get a shot.

Really??? I thought Vinson was reportedly the best pure athlete and Berry seems to be a pretty darn good athlete to my eyes. I'll take good football players over 'athletes' any day.

I think with the new additions in the secondary, it will push Morley harder to start living up to expectations. If he doesn't, he will get buried on the depth chart.

Morley is the best pure athlete on the team easily.

Where did that come from? Vinson and Berry I could see. But Morley come on dude. He's got great talent and athleticism but he's not even the best athlete in the secondary.

Yes off the field. One more strike and he is gone. And with his history of screw-ups...it's a good possibility.

He's a good player and if he locks it in and gets everything straight he has a chance to go onto the next level like a lot of previous Vols safeties. I just don't know if I have complete faith in him to stay focused, stay out of trouble, and push himself to succeed.

IMO the starting Secondary will be Berry,Morley,Vinson,Myles jr.

This is a hard decision. I wouldn't be suprises to see JJ starting over Morley but what about Rogan? God this is a hard pick.
