D-Line depth turned the game

What gets me is CJH runs the score up on all these weak and/or small school teams but, games against SEC schools and he dials back? If he kept his foot on the gas would we score 70 or, would we be losing those SEC games, like this one?
Those games are drill sessions and depth building opportunities. SEC games carry greater chance of jeopardy if you throw a late int or fumble away, thus the prevent/preserve strategy.

Again, which I don’t agree with in this instance. TN was executing well offensively in the 2nd half, enough I don’t understand just running up the middle. And disagreed with completely abandoning the pass rush when you had Ark in a passing situation and you’re playing better defensively.

It’s almost as if he has a scripted analytics chart and submits to it, rather than weighing it against how the team is playing. Also, I think we got accustomed to him rolling the dice the first couple years, which he sort of had to do to give a less talented - and restricted roster - team a chance against better teams.

It’s hard to watch, though.

We have got to get better, bigger, and stronger on the D-Line. Thats the long and the short of it! I am SICK of seeing us get gashed for these huge chunk plays! We need to get these guys on a more rigorous weight program and get bigger and fortify the line better. And if we cant do it with who we have, we need to recruit, hit the portal, or do whatever we have to do to plug that middle up and better set the edge!
There’s Roster Management issues going on.
Not like Dooley bad but how did we let Thomas and Charles go at safety?? After Slaughter already left for the portal. So we needed depth and those guys were already in front of him anyway. That’s two seniors that are physical in the run game at safety. And we just let them go…

We lost Omari Thomas, Simmons, ONL, at DT and basically brought in just freshman.

There’s issues with decision making. Because we didn’t even pursuit DTs and Safety this off-season.

because it’s not like we’re on OSU, UGA, Bama, or even LSU recruiting level
yet to where Turnover is expected but we have other talented guys there just waiting. We’ve up there with them at WR, QB, and EDGE recruiting but the other groups are just now catching up.

As much positive as their is, I have NO ANSWER as to why they let the defense regress so much when we already had pieces that would help on the roster and just let them go…
