Ole Mis went 8-4 in Cut's second year. Thats not to bad at all considering how bad they were doing.

follett and felder are very good at stopping screens. I expect that decoud or hagan will probably give support to our green CB. And i'm pretty sure you guys aren't going to be running a full on no huddle.

I'm really curious to see what this actually means on the field. One player, one play? A little more complex?


Also, I don't know if the youth will see the field at WR as soon as most seem to think...

Yeah, loading the box does help young inexperienced WR's. The biggest problems they have had is alignment and assignment. Well, if you crowd the box then it is much easier for them to read where they should be and what they should do. The coverage will be easier to detect and they will not have to think as much.

You might be surprised how much we run the no huddle. Of course, all of us might be. We just have to wait and see.

I wouldn't mind seeing the 97 offense again (provided we aren't playing UF or Neb)

These guys are fast, very fast and all it takes is to make one guy miss if you crowd the box. Any of our WR will only need a step or 2 and it will be 6.

As far as the no huddle? I take Cut at his word and I think you will be surprised how much we use it.

Our outside running game will probably prosper regardless if Cal stuffs the box. Their LBs are good, but BIG and slow, comparatively.

I thought Cut said we were only going to use the no huddle sparingly against Cal and S. Miss, and bring it into full effect aginst UF. I could be delusional though, it is game week.

I agree. I actually am not concerned with out Offense at all. I am more concerned with our Defense. I am curious to see how we stop the run and handle Jackson as well as what type of pass rush we will get.
Another ? for me is our Special teams.

I don't remember seeing that or hearing him say that at all. But like you said, this is game week and I too may be delusional.

But I also remember the coaches saying that they planned on slowly phasing it in leading up to the Florida game.

Edit: As others mentioned, I know that I heard this discussed. I don't recall if anyone was quoted on this in the press, or if it was a general statement.
