I hope and think Cut will stay to at least the end of next year. There is no reason why we cant make a NC run next year. We will be LOADED.

We are losing more than you think. Wade, Stewart, McBride, Mitchell, Swain, more offensive and defensive lineman, maybe Meachem and its possible Ainge, but I doubt it...

Also, we will lose James Wilhoit. Do we have another reliable kicker on the roster right now?

if it means anything cutcliffe did sign a 2 year contract. probably be pretty easy to buy that out though

Can Troop handle the O? I honestly think he can, esp if he has a couple of years to learn under Cut, but the question is could he step in next year and maintain?

Really? I mean, Troop is a great motivator, but could we really take another chance of promoting an unproven coordinator? I love Troop, but I think he would be a better Defensive coach/coordinator than he even has been on offense. Defense plays on motivation and discipline, offense is more skill. I dont know, he's a great coach, but I would be worried about promoting him in next year to that position. Lets just hope Cut stays put for a while.

The man is an amazing position coach because of the relationships he develops with his players. I just don't think you get the chance to connect on that same level as the OC. Of course, if he continues to shine as an assistant ... he deserves the shot some day (somewhere) .. but not now and not here yet.

Here's hoping Meachem and Ainge dont leave, and if they dont the only big loss we will have on our offense is Sears. We do loose some playmakers on D but we are loaded with talent and Chief will have them ready.

Ainge wont leave. I'd say the chances of him staying are 90%. And if he does, Ive heard Crompton has a stronger arm.

Crompton to Vinson, coming to a win near you.

Cut will stay at least one more year because after winning the NC, his stock will be even higher. He can pick his job then.

Fulmer didn't do anything to Majors that he didn't ask for Rev. Majors was a drunken, up the middle 3 times, outdated coach, that outstayed his welcome at UT. Fulmer stepped in and won games...what else was he supposed to do?
