Cutcliffe Press Conference

There is little doubt in my mind that Cut was very frustrated about the program in Knoxville when he returned. This is going to get very interesting to say the least.

Why are we letting Cut coach the bowl game....he will be too distracted to call a good game

Plod and trod aside, I find Cut to be very likeable.

Some UT fans have their opinions about Cutcliffe, but I guarantee that there will be an unusually large following of Duke football from Knoxville, at least to a certain extent.

They've always had a Duke education to offer, but it hasn't helped previous coaches...

I wonder if he is gonna retract the statements he had before the '06 season, saying that he would remain in Knoxville

Then why couldn't he stay and coach the NC in 98?

I hate to see him go because we were scoring good points on the field, but I'm also hoping we can get somebody in there that's going to make some changes but how will that fare with Phil.

If I remember correctly, Ole Miss asked him to begin his duties immediately and not coach the bowl game that year.

Well, I will begin to follow and root for Duke (on the side)now. Always loved Cut and what he did for UT and what he did at Ole Miss...wish him nothing but the best and tons of luck in turning that program around. I dont think it hurts us that Roper is going with him.

GO VOLS
GO BLUE DEVILS

Man...you couldn't pay me to follow Duke. I just can't care about something that horrible. I hope Cut does well and can actually convince me its worth my while to follow them....

how many verbal commits do you think will follow cut or choose some other school?

follow...none. I think the bigger problem would be losing Trooper, Luke, Roper, etc. on top of Cut. I still think most of our commitments would stay.

He's going to be the fall guy when the Vols lose. Just providing Phil with a little cover on his way out.

I agree that Duke is now my favorite ACC football team.
