I guess my "insider information" isn't so believable. I can call my little brother up and have him ask Jared Coleman the inside scoop if you want... considering they go to the same highschool.

This is just dumb speculation by you. He never said the only reason he came to UT was for Cutcliffe. He said that's a great thing about coming here since he admires what he did with other QBs.... he wasn't really going to any other school at any point.

There is no way to know that about Crompton... Ainge was going to play no matter what the circumstances...We have not yet named an OC nor have we gone through Spring Training....this is premature Ejaculation....Trust me BJ is where he wants to be and where his family wants him...regardless of CUT

coleman will not transfer. especially since I THINK he will be starting next year. crompton has shown me nothing

It is my right as a student to follow him. However, it would be unprofessional for him to recruit me, as a student, to a new school. If BJ wants to follow Cut, then there is nothing wrong with that. If Cut works him hard to go with him, then I see something wrong with that. I also feel that other coaches in the profession would as well. The difference is in the recruitment of players away from a school - that is frowned upon. If Coleman wants to transfer, more power to him, but Cut shouldn't recruit him hard - that's the part that is unprofessional.

Recruiting coaches to go with you is another matter. They are professionals along with you, and you have to build your coaching team....I don't think that the coaching community would look too down on that...Fulmer might if he asked the wrong guy to go with him...but that would be about it.

The speculation does have some merit, some.

BJ never was a UT fan growing up, he was an Alabama fan.

He has a couple of McCallie teammates who play at Duke and might try and do the recruiting for Cut.

Cutcliffe was the one who recruited BJ to UT and Cut was the one main thing that stuck out to him while recruiting.

Also, if he did go to Duke he would be the starter next year, he know's Cutcliffe's system.

BUT...

BJ is one of the most logical and forthwright human beings I have ever met. He's the type where if he makes a commitment he will stick with it. If his commitment is to Tennessee, he will stay in TN.

He also knows that he loses a year of eligibility if he transfers.

He's an SEC fan and I don't think he would like to transfer to an inferior conference, (ACC)

BJ's goal is to play Sundays, the best way to do that is to stay at UT. BJ is smart enough to know that.
