Ya'll aren't giving Rogers enough credit. Against Air Force (filling in for Bret Smith) he had 5 catches for 69 yards. He got mono shortly after that and his season was done.
He also runs the forty in around 4.45. Not blazing but he is quick.
Taylor had a great catch against Florida this year. He hasn't been too impressive besides that though.
Briscoe is the best blocking receiver on the team, therefore he'll play alot especially if UT goes back to the run oriented offense.
These guys were stuck behind an All -American (Meachem), a guy who was constantly in the game as soon as he stepped foot on this campus (Swain) and another who, it seemed, caught only 1st downs and touchdowns (Smith).
People make it sound like our receiver position was nonproductive last year and it was these players' fault. They did not play because 2 seniors and a RS junior was in front of them. Briscoe caught a bomb against Memphis his freshman year, Rogers had 1 catch and Taylor ran reverses (thank you Randy Sanders) everytime he was in the game and got stuffed in the backfield.
Give these guys a chance
Slick Shelley is the one who has not contributed in any shape, form or fashion since stepping foot on this campus
