After making a McFarlane Justin Hunter figure, I decided to make one of Da'Rick Rogers as well to complete Tennessee's dynamic duo of receivers. Then I thought, I might as well do one of the man who throws the ball to them. So here is a Tyler Bray figure (healthy thumb intact) to complete the trifecta. I did this one to simulate a cold weather atmosphere with the long sleeves and hand warmer. I covered the arms with clay to simulate cloth, because if I didn't the muscles and vains in the arm would have been noticable if I had just painted over the arm. The QB wrist band is also made of clay and has a piece of paper where I printed a play card on it. And like with all my other figures, the towel is real cloth. Also notice I did the 2011 white cleats and socks, which differs from the Hunter and Rogers figures that were 2010 black cleats and socks.

Here is a couple of pictures from last year I used as reference for the cold weather attire:

Are these hand-made from clay or what? Regardless of what they are made of, they look pretty darn awesome. Good job!

Very nice - his thumb is gripped around the ball instead of dangling lifelessly from his hand. Well done

awesome job.... Are you going to make some to sell?

I would, but almost everytime someone contacts me that they are interested in one of my figures I never hear from them again after I tell them the price.

But, if anyone is seriously interested in me making them a figure, email me at dustyscustomfigures@gmail.com. Please note however that none of my figures will be below $50, so keep that in mind.

A company called McFarlane Toys make the stock figures of an NFL or college player, and then I primer, paint, and decal one into another player.

You are awesome man. I really wish I could do that. I'd love to buy one, but all of my money goes to the wife and kids!!

An Eli Manning figure. McFarlane has also made an NFL and college Matt Ryan figure in the same stance.

Not including invested time/skill it takes to do this...could you tell me exactly how much it costs you to make one?

This seems like the new "building model cars" hobby...but seems more difficult. I think I'd like to try. Looks like fun!

It would be hard to give you an exact number, cause the cost varies from figure to figure. One figure would cost somewhere around $5 (if bought at a store) or between $5-$20 (if bought online, which I do mostly). Total supplies needed (primer, paint, brushes, etc.) probably cost around $50 total.

I tried this when buying my last car, but the seller wasn't as nice as you SS.
