I watched this guy play on Friday night. He rushed for 160 yards on just 12 carries and he threw for 197. (17 of 24)
As a junior last year he had over 3,000 yards in total offense. At the game I found out that he has accepted a full scholarship to Wisconsin. Does anyone know if UT even gave this guy a look?
He looked pretty incredible at the game. Not only could he run faster than the defense, he ran THROUGH them for most of the night.
Is this a home state recruit that we let get away??

he received offers from Duke, Kentucky, Boston College, East Carolina, and Middle Tennessee. Supposedly VT was going to offer, but I guess he committed to Wisconsin first. The kid is really good. Last I knew Scout had him as a 3 star prospect. I know for one thing we have plenty of qbs at the moment, in Crompton, Stephens and Coleman. You might find more info in the recruiting forum, or this thread might wind up there. HV knows all about recruiting, so he can probably give you all kinds of info.

One of the Sensabaugh (sp) kids from DB is on scholly at Clemson. His brother plays for JAX. I think UT does not look much in NET.

Phillips is the REAL DEAL! Kinda reminds me of a Teabow type. Big, strong and fast with a accurate arm. Tennessee will wish they pursued this kid a little harder!

i know curt and the entire coaching staff there at South High School. He really is the real deal, plus a straight A student. David Cutcliff came by and watched a practice this summer. Some other schools that were interested were Kentucky, Ga Tech, South Florida. He just wanted to commit before his season started so he wouldn't have it to worry about. He is rated as the #1 QB in the state right now. He was on the way to Va. Tech the day of the shooting and was told to go back home for the time being.
