Did anyone seriously think a hire would be made before the season was officially over?

Now if we are setting here next Friday on December 1st then I'd start to worry.

Butch supporter through til the end eh? We’re a top 10 program and should act like it. We have been a National laughing stock for too long. Explain to me how a coach from Acme technical institute for the blind is going to help us? Stop setting you’re sights on a coach from Odd Lots. The’re only so many coaches with established brands and the list is getting smaller and smaller. I’d ask you for a list that would could get us back to where we belong, but doubt you could produce such a list.

I do not believe we are even remotely interested in this guy, but if Currie did somehow trot him out there as the next coach I'd be livid. It would also go against Currie's statement that he wants a guy with the utmost integrity.

Edit: Awwwwwkward, posted this is wrong thread lol. Was meant for Greg S last name (not even going to try to spell it)

Schools want to hire their next coach now... however, presently it is all in the agents hands, and they are squeezing new contracts our for their clients. Next phase will be trotting their clients in front of prospective teams.

Not so soon... patience needed.

You should check too see what you are talking about. I havent been a supporter of Butch Jones for a couple of years now buddy. Acting like we are gonna fire a guy for not winning a press conference before we even have a chance to see what the results on the field will be is simply stupid. So if thats your level of thinking, the next time you have a thought, let it go as a fart.

🤔 Currie gets his hand slapped because he wasn't "proactive enough" if Gruden isn't the next coach???

Gruden ain't coming here. At least I hope not for all the reasons everybody lists.

Don’t want a coach from Odd Lots... said nothing about a press conference. Top 10 school should act like a top 10 school. Not really that hard Chief... the pool of coaches is dwindling. Stay in Bama it suits you well.

Lol, the ol bama fan. Act like a top ten program. If Campbell or whoever comes, starting winning 10 games a year who cares if its "splash hire?" Nobody, thats who. So lets not be dumb and start talking about firing people before we see anything on the field.

Dude we haven’t been relevant in over a decade! Not only do we have Odd Lot coaches! We have Odd Lot administration! Hamilton, bugar eater, spray tan boy, and have you heard Daventport speak? Not to mention we had a revolving door of Presidents... No more “let’s see how this goes”. We are made fun of on a national level and people are sick of being kicked in the teeth. Big name hire period
