What a pu**y.

He’s no where near qualified to be an Athletic Director anywhere.

Currie's habitual silence was once thought to be an indicator of intellect. Now we understand him to be thoughtless and cowardly.

This . Truth is Schiano would have been a good coach and wanted to coach here. Before I get roasted he has been very open about saying he had no idea what was going on at Penn state . And there is no proof . He currently works as a coach for Ohio state . No one has ever accused him of nothing he has been a great mentor to young men. I say this but I will also say I am fine with not hiring him because of how everyone else feels and vol fans are like family we give each other a hard time but I be dam if someone from Espn will and I called Herby out last night for calling out a Vol fan. Currie handled this all wrong and should be fired get haslems ass out of here and let's get Kiffen and this is all I have to say.

Imagine this for 1 minute. There's no fan uprising/revolt on Sunday and the UTAD proceeds with the hire. During the presser for Schiano's introduction, a reporter opens with "it's been stated under oath that you were a witness to Sandusky's actions while at PSU during his tenure there. What is your answer to those allegations?"

Is this a subject you or any other supporter of this university want to have lingering around the HBC while on staff at UT?

Apparently there are about seven buffoons that are OK with that.

If you move beyond the PSU atrocity-

1. Schiano was reviled- and I mean absolutely REVILED- by every NFL player he coached.
2. He actively helped cover up a MRSA outbreak at Tampa.
3. He talked about a drug suspension of a player with the media in violation of the NFL collective bargaining agreement.
4. He rigged a team captaincy vote to get who he wanted in in spite of the players.
5. He lied and trashed a player in the media.
6. He coached his team to intentionally try to injure opposing players on kneel-down plays.

Anyone defending Schiano as a good hire is morally bankrupt at best.

And that would have been repeated over and over. First time a kid got in trouble wit about anything it would rear its ugly azz head. I cant possibly imagine this man in a recruits house without it being a debacle either.

Per his Twitter.

@jimmyhyams I'll be speaking at the Knoxville QB Club today at Calhoun's on the River at about 12:15 to 1 pm, pinch hitting for Tennessee athletic director John Currie. Probably won't speak but about 5 minutes since nothing is going on. Boring times at Rocky Top.

Boring times?!!! Has Hyams been asleep for the last 24 hours?

Did he really say “boring times at Rocky Top”? This has been the most exciting 36 hours in the city of Knoxville in a long time. I understand trying to downplay this a bit but that’s a straight up lie
