You mean to tell me a spineless coward is afraid to get in front of people and address this? Color me shocked.

Jim Gordon said it best . Being a leader is about owning up to your own mistakes when things are not going well.

I would say he is either trying to scramble to make a hire or he has been pushed to the side.

I would say he is listening in private to Big Jim and Jimmy with them telling him what’s gonna happen and how they are gonna re establish their control and let the peasants know who is in charge

Not surprising at all. I imagine Currie has more important things to do at the moment.

Turned down Michigan and interviewed for USC....years ago not recently.

Also Urban says he turned down 2 "significant" offers last year.

Urban Meyer: Greg Schiano turned down 2 head coach jobs to stay at Ohio State | NJ.com

The answer is nobody wanted Schiano. Just the Haslams. Don't believe Urban Meyer unless I see actual schools reported. There is no reporting anywhere that Schiano is being considered at any of the open jobs right now. Just Tennessee.

Currie didn't have the balls to tell Schiano the deal was off using a 3rd party. Any surprise he wouldn't want face to face interaction with fans to explain this debacle? Lol

yep. he's worried about getting the **** out of dodge.

Hyperbole aside, I doubt that very much. What happened Sunday is unprecedented in college athletics. Solving the resulting problem is going to take a great deal of work.

Nope, it was a coup. Fulmer's revenge. Are you guys not seeing the forest for the trees? Or is this what you have been hoping for? Well, enjoy the endgame, but the bad will outweigh the good. Wait and see.

Please ignore the black helicopters hovering overhead...

I'll be speaking at the Knoxville QB Club today at Calhoun's on the River at about 12:15 to 1 pm, pinch hitting for Tennessee athletic director John Currie. Probably won't speak but about 5 minutes since nothing is going on. Boring times at Rocky Top.

I agree. All the Schiano apologists - Esiason, Wetzel, Herbstreit - act as if no one in the country is really concerned about the Penn State McQueary accusations. They would have you believe every team and fan in the country should want him as head coach and no one really is concerned about the McQueary claims, in spite of the fact the man has no other offers with a dozen open coaching positions open.

He won't be there because he pulled these from his closet last night, put them on and clicked his heels together three times.

This . Truth is Schiano would have been a good coach and wanted to coach here. Before I get roasted he has been very open about saying he had no idea what was going on at Penn state . And there is no proof . He currently works as a coach for Ohio state . No one has ever accused him of nothing he has been a great mentor to young men. I say this but I will also say I am fine with not hiring him because of how everyone else feels and vol fans are like family we give each other a hard time but I be dam if someone from Espn will and I called Herby out last night for calling out a Vol fan. Currie handled this all wrong and should be fired get haslems ass out of here and let's get Kiffen and this is all I have to say.
