Why in the world has Currie or the Vols PR department not released any official statement on the circus that is or is not happening? This is insanity. Heads should roll

Valid question.

Guess Currie has never heard the term "getting in front of a story. "

He's so far behind it now he will be lucky to survive this debacle.

I think they are at odds with each other. Apparently PR dept led the charge against this hire. Not sure they and Currie are on the same page

Contract probably already signed. As my grandmother would have said, someone has their tit caught in the wringer

The coaching hire was leaked to get a quick reaction by the AD and now the PR dept cannot figure how to handle this debacle.

What sane football coach would sign up in this toxic atmosphere. We are headed for a third tier coach who will be gone in 2 years. Sad.

Tennessee's administration is looking like the biggest morons on the planet. Embarrassing to be a Vol fan.

Yes. Dumbazz Currie needs to issue a statement of some kind even if he just says the search is still underway. I mean give us something to show a resemblance of competency. Oh wait. I truly think he is an incompetent clown

Speaking to Tennessee Volunteers administration, you get to these positions by being vetted 25% on sheepskin credentials and 75% on family/money connections. It’s why they make indefensible decisions and appear so stupid it has to be a back door plan. They are paid off figure heads bought like a politician on lobbyists money. No folks it’s boosters ruining/running the show, observe the fruits.

Contract WAS signed.. UT is now negotiating a payout for Schiano.. he gets paid...

I read a memorandum of understanding or letter of intent was all that was signed. Those are usually not a contract and non-binding on either party. They just set forth terms that will be used in a binding contract once it is fully negotiated and signed. If that is the case, may not owe anything. Of course, each deal is different so no way to know without reading it.
