It seems like in this country once you become the boss you can be as incompetent as you want and the other bosses will have your back.

Currie really should resign. This was as bad as it gets and he only had one job. Just consider this, how is he going to be greeted at the first home game next season? If he walks on the field he will be boo'd right off. Is UT OK with having a hated AD? Apparently so. Hey, it works for the NFL and Roger Goodell.

We have done it to ourselves pretty plain and simple....

Should have seen it coming, the power shift occurred when CPF was fired and we continued to let Hamilton and Currie hang around.

Hamilton gone bring in D Hart. His coaching searches are evidence of the move of the balance of power on the Board.

We have not conducted a proper coaching search in over 10+ years. What's more CHW will at some point should be let go....Can't image Currie involved in that search...

We are victims on the power struggle between the boosters, the Admin, and the AD offices.

Watching Atlanta burn...

Currie can't make a decision his hands are tied because he tied them himself. The worst decision is the one not made....

When the fanbase has to force a Coach out of hire, we have a problem....

When you have a puppet AD we have a problem....

When money and donations become the focal points of hiring and firing we have a problem.....

This is waste and fraud calling the AD a viable suitable competant individual.

Hit the reset button and be done with it. Format the Hard Drive... Best do it now because the Virus just lingers in the System and is destroying it within itself.

I don't see a scenario where this doesn't fail. Even if the fan base doesn't attack Currie's coach as soon as he gets here, the attacks will come at the first sign of trouble...and there WILL be trouble.

Booster coup apparently didn’t work

Our fans need to continue lighting up the switchboard in the UT President's Executive Assistant's Office (Mr. Golden). Have what you want to say prepared and in order. Simply tell them:

1) You are tired of John Currie's bungling of the search for a new head football coach.
2) He did not properly vet Greg Schiano for the position as he has said, otherwise he would have known that players and coaches on both the NFL and college levels have reported that Schiano is very difficult to work with due to his abrasive nature, and that he is abusive to players.
3) You feel that John Currie has lost the confidence of the fan base long ago and feat that he has reached the point where there is no hope of that relationship being repaired.
4) You feel that John Currie does not listen to the fan base, but only certain big money boosters. He has forgotten that it is the everyday fans who fill Neyland on Saturdays, buy the concessions, and purchase the UT licensed merchandise, making UT football revenue the # 2 college football revenue program in the country.
4) Therefore, you feel that John Currie needs to be asked to resign as Athletic Director, effective immediately, and allow Philip Fulmer and Peyton Manning to complete the search for the new football coach, with Philip Fulmer fulfilling the duties as Acting Athletic Director until a new Athletic Director is hired.
5) Also, Beverly Davenport needs to be replaced as Chancellor due to the fact that she hired John Curry, she has received many complaints regarding his incompetence, yet she refuses to take corrective action. It has been stated by many sources that she does what a certain big money booster wants done regarding the athletics program whether it it is in the best interest of the program or not.

This is essentially what I told Mr. Golden's Secretary yesterday, and she told me that they are taking notes of all calls, and that Mr. Golden, the UT President, and the Board are taking these calls very seriously. She asked for my name and phone number and thanked me for being so nice over the phone. She also told me that that they have received tons of calls are expecting many more.

Lets keep that phone ringing off the hook VOLS fans!

Phone # 865-974-2241 They honestly want us to call and tell them what our problem is with the Athletic Department, the Greg Schiano fiasco, Chancellor, etc... She said, "We know there are problems, but we cannot begin to fix the them if no one tells us what the root issues are."

Who would even consider coming here to coach with attacks coming at the first sign of trouble?

When I said hit the reset button....Hit it. Reformat the Hard Drive.

Kiffin unfortunately will not fly with any group...Probably a great hire but too much "hurt" a jilted lover.

Blackburn will not get the support he needs to make a run at the AD position. What pisses me off is that he was groomed for this job and serves in Tennessee's best interests.

Tee Martin...would come but yada yada Yada....People state he has no HC experience. Well so be it...Presidents run the most powerful nation in the world at the age of 44 or less. He may not be the savior, but I would rather see him on the sidelines than I would others. Look at Hugh Freeze...

Tee has the right staff in place for development and recruiting he will succeed. He is at his prime. Better to take the chance with him than anybody left in the search.

The fact is Currie should know this and what's better served than a former Vol.

This is not a T Martin endorsement, it is just common sense...would he had done better than 4-8 this season yes.

So why go around the world to come back to a Butch Jones type coach.

Stupid that we have not contacted him for the HC job. Instead we have shunned him...

I would rather struggle with T at the helm than wait 5 more years for another one of these.

We are too busy making excuses for not hiring somebody versus hiring somebody, licking our wounds, and moving on....

It's time to roll...reconstruct, and rebuild. This mess is going to take time.

How do you do this remove the Cancer, Virus. Some Boosters want a Coup then do it....

Because we want to hire another up and comer. Dooley and Jones were not enough to satisfy the Administration.
